Just ordered this the other day and received it today. Same issue.

OP, did you ever get resolution?

Someone made cuts on the bottom frame of it on another thread, but that’s a bigger project than I’m willing to tackle.

I’m about to bend the ends down and risk it. I won’t ever want to keep it over the “smugglers bay.”

Unfortunately not. Last service appointment they said Tesla is aware of the issue and will let me know once there is a path to resolution.

Yet they continue to sell these. ?

Seems to me, after an hour of battling just now, the bed isn’t consistent thinkness and must be thicker in the middle as compared to up by the gate or back by the cab. They would need to redesign the divider to have a little more clearance on the bottom. Everyone is going to want it just behind the latch for the bay.

I agree. That’s where I want to keep it. Unfortunate haven’t heard anything still

No amount of pushing, shoving or even sitting on would persuade mine to fit so i decided to return it as I don’t want to be stuck with something I can’t use.

I ended up cutting off the top quarter of the 4 plugs that go in the L track. I know it’s not max stability as it was intended, but I’m just using it to hold the cargo bins against the cab and have grocery hooks on it. It’s good enough to serve that purpose.

So frustrating though to have a Tesla $350 accessory not fit right.

I assume the divider design team probably isn’t happy with the bed lining thickness tolerance. Either the bed people didn’t hit their tolerance for consistency or the divider team didn’t account for the full range of tolerance.

My service center knows me for having had so many issues and visits regarding the divider. When bringing it in for a recent service visit they mentioned I should contact Tesla to get a replacement with the adjustable feet. I know someone already posted they got it but was never “official” from Tesla. When I asked about it when that was posted they said only Tesla has official updates. This time they are sending me a free replacement after contacting them. Let’s hope it’s the updated one!

. Did they indicate they sending you a replacement with adjustable feet as I was under the impression the new one has pads on the bottom and not adjustable

Commerce is sending me a replacement. Let’s see if it’s the “updated version”. I meant adjustable as in having the pads or not. Let’s hope it is!

This will be my first accessory (if we disregard the SecondRow Pet Liner under the Tree). Should arrive tomorrow.

I hope it’s the revised version as well.

I had this issue and it WAS fixed by the service center. I'm not sure how the new "adjustable feet" are going to help anything, because the issue wasn't with the feet hitting the bed floor, it was actually the bottom of the gate resting on top of the raised ribs of the bed floor across the whole width of the gate. The "feet" never even came close to hitting the floor.

What my service center did was to loosen all of the bolts that secure the side of the bed (and there are some that aren't obvious hidden in the floor and in the front) and then they adjusted the bed side and L-track up a tiny bit and re-tightened it. The divider now latches perfectly along the entire length of the bed. Before that, it would only latch above the rear storage compartment because the "ribs" of the storage compartment were a little bit shorter than the bed floor forward of the storage compartment.

I had tried loosening the bolts along the L-track and raising the L-track myself before taking it to the service center and that didn't work, but it was because there are a couple of bolts you can't see without removing other pieces that prevent you from raising the L-track and the sides of the bed. I THINK you can see all of the locations on this picture, but I'm not sure since I wasn't there when the tech fixed it.

Given what I know now, and the fact that we can get the repair manuals online, I would probably try and fix it myself if mine hadn't already been fixed by the tech at the SC.

BTW - my service associate INSISTED that there was no problem, and kept putting "could not reproduce" on my ticket even though I attached multiple photos of the L-track latches not lining up and the bottom of the gate sitting on the ribs of the bed floor. It wasn't until I insisted to talk to the service manager and literally showed him the problem that they acknowledged the issue, and then were able to fix it in about an hour. Since the SC is an hour away from my house, the fact that I had to drive down there and then sit around definitely was frustrating, but now that the divider works as designed I am super pleased with the purchase - totally worth it. I also bought some 3D printed Molle hooks to put along the top square holes of the divider, so when I go to the grocery store I put the divider 2' back from tail gate and then hook the grocery bags on the hooks and it prevents everything from sliding around no matter how I drive - very convenient!

Great info. Exactly the rubber legs have zero to do with the problem ! That’s probably why when I tried to loosen just the 3 bolts in the L track I didn’t see anyway it could move up as it was already against the light.
in the photo they have the entire interior of the sail off ? Is that a necessary step? Because I don’t see anyway bolts in there circled ?

Fresh in the box… I honestly don’t know what I’m looking at, but I think this has the revision based on the extra ‘spacer’ at the foot.
