Do you have a link for the tailgate tape piece you use to attach the cushion to?So I have been all over the map with these and tried more options than you need to know about at a cost I prefer not to discuss. Lol.
They all have advantages. The most minimalist and arguably least impactful on function is abstract oceans xpel armor. Pete is awesome and so is his product. It’s not for everyone but it makes the bed look good in a utilitarian way. It does not have the advantage the tpe mats do of being able to be pulled out and washed but you can stand in the bed with a pressure washer and it cleans up in seconds. You can also match the tailgate back wall, sail panels and bed sides for a super clean continuous look plus or minus molle panels in various places. Importantly, it’s very low profile so it doesn’t raise the level of the tailgate or area under your cybertent shelf. Works very well for the $225 Tesla Tupperware also. Nice sliding action.

The TPE liners have other advantages. For one, the bed part can be pulled out, rinsed, dried and easily thrown back in. Some sets come with an under the window piece which is cool because it adds some “stripes” to that area as well as protection. They also frequently come with tailgate pieces. Both of these “extras” require at least some adhesive strips applied to the truck but this comes off there super easily with goof off. No traces left on mine with minimal effort. I also used the tailgate piece to thread the straps of this tailgate seat from evbase? I think. It provides cushioning for anything sliding back in the bed, a ready made changing table and cool tailgate seat but it does mean at least to some extent big things you load in the bed have to be kind of jimmied over it. See picture.
Advice, if you get these TPE mats, go for the ones with the pre-cut d-ring holes. They are a pain in the ass to do. I don’t have the high quality 3dmaxspider or 3w versions. I hear good things about the mats, no idea if the quality of the vault liner is the same.
Then I went soft. I bought this matress which is what I use on the floor for the kids in hayride/holiday light type situations. Along with the tailgate pillow, all you really need to do is pull everything off the l-tracks and its a very kid friendly environment.
Fantastic for stargazing also.

Then I bought this rug thing from Tesla. Not popular I don’t think but I love it.
Cybertruck Bed Textile Mat

Gives the vault a giant car trunk/indoors type feel. Good at wicking. Doesn’t interfere with Tesla $225 Tupperware. Slats still hold the bins.
I’m currently waiting on my order from Tmat. Have very high hopes for the sliding action. Will keep you guys posted.
if I had it to do all over again and cost was no object, I’d get xpel armor at the bottom and then the tmat system. I still like my textile mat from Tesla but it’s nonessential. I’d absolutely buy the air mattress again for extra delicate cargo/passengers and leisure use of the vault.
