VIN ending in 5xxx. They say the CT is on the truck to deliver. Have they really made over 5000 trucks?

Rep says my truck is in route. Really over 5000 trucks in 3 months? Assuming all the VIN numbers are real with no skips. That could be a false assumption.

There you go assuming that things are sequential.
I did say that could be a false assumption, just seeing if anyone knows for sure.

they definatly arent sequential, but i doubt they would leave many gaps and never fill them

Why not?

Manufacturers really aren't into to letting their actual production numbers being known.

If VINs were that useful, then why do the tracking companies look at DMV registrations? That's because VINs aren't reliable and that DMV registrations are open records.

Vehicle registion data and vehicle VIN data are like apples and oranges. one tell you production output and one tell you consumer input. they show two totally seperate things. and most manufacturers report their numbers every quarter its no secret. if they have a bad quarter they try to bury them im sure.

Is the production output and consumer input that much of a difference for Tesla? The difference is basically stock, which for the Cybertruck is minimal.

And yes MOST isn't all.
And quarterly isn't monthly.
And often the category breakdowns are purposefully chosen not to give too much away.

If there wasn't anything to hide, why not monthly and all manufacturers?

And have you ever seen other vehicle production being tracked by VIN numbers?
