Cantrail alignment is abysmal

I also had the cantrail recall replacement at Tesla 160 Van Brunt Brooklyn , and the worst was the drivers rear. Not only it is easily noticeable, it is pointy when gliding your hand over. Everything else looks good enough. Will attempt to fix the rear cantrail myself.

This is super helpful! I did not know loosening those nuts allows us to adjust the alignment of the cantrails...I may have to do this for the rear of my cantrails (they are just a tad higher than the rear quarter panel).

When loosening the nut, you just push / pull the cantrail to get it in position and then tighten the nut?

The forward and rear bolt affixed to the cantrail ends allows slight up down movement. It penetrates a slotted brace for this purpose. Use gloves when pushing down or up. If the rails are badly aligned it might require sc removal and alignment.

Fully sealed and flushed on my foundation CT going in before the cantrail recall

huge gap is what I got back, and after complaining they re-measured the gap and said “it’s within spec”

fuck tesla service, no honor in their workmanship

Thats how my passenger side looked when I got the rig. I told them when swapping to the new contrail if we could do something about that, instead I have a gap in the front now and these dimples where the stud is welded I guess. I'm not super happy about it but letting the mobile tech check I just feel like this is going to turn into a multi-month journey unless I can get one with a extra 2mm on it.

This is unbelievable but matches my experience with Tesla service. They fix one thing and damage/scratch another every time I have to take one of our Teslas in.

I took my truck back into service because they replaced the Cantrail and it was misaligned but also you can see the dimple from where they fastened the Cantrail. I'm being told that it's normal to see the dimples. Is everyone else seeing the dimple where the fastener is?
