I park mine in the open in a rural location, so it is inevitable that little furry assholes will try to build a nest there. Happens with every single piece of equipment I own. Hoping for some kind of long-term fix...
story time.

I bought a used range rover once that must have been parked out in a field somewhere. It was in good condition but it had some funky smell coming out the heater vents it smelled like old weed so when i got to cleaning it I'm vacuuming the front under the dash and I'm following a trail of dry grass up the firewall and under and inside of the dash I find a nest of some sort and it had a lot of time put into this one it was thick and I'm just sucking it all up with the vacuum. But I can't reach all of it from the bottom. So, I decide to remove the glove box, and heater vents the vents were connected to the heater core with a flex corrugated paper duct. one vent was not connected like something had chewed through the paper tube all the way around. so, I pull the whole thing comes away the vent and tube. Ahh, it scared the fuck out of me that dam Ratt was still there. but it was dead and dried up it died with a pose like it was coming at you with its teeth exposed and claws facing up at you. I don't know how this happens, but all the skin and hair was preserved with muscule definition but completely hollow inside. Just creepy I got it with the vacuum it made that flabber sound and clogged the vac. Anyway, heres a photo of the car after I was done with it.

would be a good idea to have a couple trim pieces made to cover those gaps and prevent future check ins. Glad this all worked out for all.

Don't use poison! eventually you'll end up poisoning the wrong target. you poison a mouse and make it easier catch then your cat or dog will eat a poisoned animal. How would they know its poisoned and get poisoned themselves or you yourself can get poisoned never mind kids if you have kids or kids are around for sure don't use it! It's just all bad it can leach into the ground water and get into the food chain.

My first car was a ‘77 Pinto (don’t judge, it came with the marriage). My wife came home one day and casually mentioned she pulled too far into a parking spot and bent the front license plate. Whatever.

The next morning I go out to start the car and I hear the unmistakable sound of the fan blade hitting the radiator. I let go of the key thinking, “just bent the license plate, my ass!”. I get out and pop the hood to see the damage and a cat launches itself over my shoulder, scaring the beegeezus out of me. As it runs away I can see it has lost the fur on its shoulder blade!

Just a weird coincidence but a much better ending then @haulin ass’!
