I'm well aware of the claim/promise. I'm saying that my experience/opinion is that it fails to do what is promised. Also Google does already try to distill answers and present the relevant parts of the results. I'm a bit shocked that you haven't seen that.

There's no clear winner here. Google can be spot on or can fail when there's a software revision that changes a function. Same with the AI, but with google its easier to see that.

change theme invision community.

Invision Community is a software platform that allows users to create online communities and forums. If you want to change the theme (visual appearance) of your Invision Community forum, you can do so by following these steps:
  1. Log in to your Invision Community forum as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to the "Customize" tab in the dashboard.
  3. In the "Customize" tab, you will see a list of options for customizing your forum's appearance.
  4. Click on the "Themes" option to access the theme settings.
  5. From the theme settings page, you can select a new theme for your forum. You can choose from a list of pre-designed themes or upload your own custom theme.
  6. Once you have selected a new theme, click the "Save" button to apply the changes.
Keep in mind that changing the theme of your Invision Community forum may affect the appearance of other elements on your forum, such as the layout and colors of certain pages and features. It's a good idea to preview your changes before saving them to make sure everything looks the way you want it to.
Have Google compare Invision to a competing product now. Both in essay form, and as a table with bullet lists comparing features.

Here was a win, on a discussion my brother and I were just having.

compare the size of a Smart 451 to a Smart 453

The Smart 451 is a small two-door hatchback car that was produced by Smart, a division of Daimler AG. It has a length of 2.69 meters (8.8 feet), a width of 1.66 meters (5.4 feet), and a height of 1.54 meters (5.1 feet).

The Smart 453 is also a small two-door hatchback car produced by Smart. It has a slightly larger size than the Smart 451, with a length of 2.69 meters (8.8 feet), a width of 1.66 meters (5.4 feet), and a height of 1.57 meters (5.2 feet).

So, the Smart 453 is slightly taller and wider than the Smart 451, but both cars are about the same length. However, it's important to note that the dimensions of a car can vary slightly depending on the specific model and trim level.

Obviously it wouldn't. The statement you didn't make, but that I have to assume you intend, is that the above is useful? I don't think it is.

LOL.

Whether you personally find it useful or not is irrelevant. I’m not even going to argue whether it is. Right now it is mostly an interesting research project.

The point is ChatGPT is and never was a research tool. It’s a text processing tool. It takes a huge library of text and uses machine learning to output them following it’s own internal set of rules. It is not Google; nor is Google an adequate replacement for ChatGPT. They do different things.

I don't know what I said that implied that I thought it was just a research tool. At the same time, Google is positively flipped out that it could replace them.

Goggle one of any of the thousands of stocks, and we will find a host of articles.

Pretty clear an app spews these out daily for any fool willing to read them.

However, what is telling is the common narrative which repeats over and over.. and imo it starts with a human agenda.

Yeah, it's not at all smart. I don't know why people are asking it like it is.

Asking it questions is like asking a primary schooler to write your paper. It'll get something reasonably grammar appropriate but it has no deeper knowledge and may even get the vocabulary wrong.

Microsoft and OpenAI Working on ChatGPT-Powered Bing in Challenge to Google

Microsoft could soon get a return on its $1 billion investment in OpenAI, creator of the ChatGPT chatbot, which gives humanlike text answers to questions.
Microsoft is preparing to launch a version of its Bing search engine that uses the artificial intelligence behind ChatGPT to answer some search queries rather than just showing a list of links, according to two people with direct knowledge of the plans. Microsoft hopes the new feature, which could launch before the end of March, will help it outflank Google, its much bigger search rival.

A friend who's rather blunt and brief in speech set up the AI to answer his text messages. People sort of bought it, until someone said, wait, why are you not being an asshole today?

MSTeams at work suggests responses to messages. A group of us always use the responses and try to pick the one that least sounds like something we'd say. I would never respond with "Indeed!" or "Cheers!". It's fun. Also, I can always tell when one coworker is using the auto response because the spelling, capitalization, punctuation and grammar are correct.

I wonder how long before spelling capitalization and grammar become irrelevant as people just pound whatever into the keyboard and AI fixes it for them.

It comes down to what data is fed into the Ai.

You assume all is created equal.

But some with nefarious intentions could create 'negative' data sets (narratives).. and selectively associate with certain people or companies.

We don't know.
