I’ve tried Invisible glass and squeegee, Griots glass cleaner and microfiber but I still have what looks like haze on the outside of the windshield. I don’t experience the wiper blade swipe but facing into the sun and in the morning it’s almost blindingly hazy. Looking at the windshield it looks fine?

Any hints would be fantastic!

Yuk!

Prior to applying a hydrophobic glass sealant (such as RAINX) I used a DA buffer and a mild glass polish until it sparkled, and water sheeted off. It actually didn't take too much buffing. I did precede the polish with a wash and clay bar, to make sure I didn't scrape particulates over the whole thing lol.

Glass is porous, and can get embedded with contaminants. The polishing really cleaned it up. I highly recommend following up with the glass coating of your choice.

Sprayway. I'll go over the windshield twice. Once with a heavy spray to lift everything up and then again with a lighter mist. Out of everything people have recommended, Sprayway is the way to go. Keep a 6 pack in the smugglers bay along with a bunch of microfiber clothes and the extendable wand. Can clean the windshield (and the rest of the truck) wherever you go.

It’s probably off-gassing still as we had the same issue. Followed the recommendation by Cybergus in another thread and it’s been brilliant ever since. We’ve done it on all 4 vehicles and it’s the best we’ve found. We bought everything recommended and followed the exact steps here:

Good luck!

Some Cybertrucks (maybe only earlier vins?) have haze that’s in the glass layers. Mine had what looked Lille hard water stains in the glass. Tesla confirmed it as a manufacturing defect and credited my account with a windshield replacement at my discretion.

I’ll get this if other spray and pray options people have offered don’t work. Work with the orbital is one of those activities I despise! lol.

Try Windex if you haven't. It works for me on deeper cleaning. I also use Sprayway on the lighter deposits and fingerprints.

@CyberGus & @JES1964 - when Tesla recently replaced my windshield under warranty, they left same “early morning sunshine only” haze along with 4 sucker cup marks. Another thread here has info about those marks. Had them fix those since it was under their service guarantee.

Instead of RainX, I suggest Pan the Organizer’s 8-year Ceramic coating. In place of RainX I did the full truck Bar Keepers Friend/Windex process and PtO’s Clean ceramic prep spray (following guidance in OOS YT videos). Did my entire CT using only one single 1 oz bottle including glass, tonneau and all plastic surfaces. Results on glass just like rest, nothing short of amazing!

I concur on the Pan’s. Did the whole truck and it keeps the finish uniform and easy to clean.

Didn’t love the effect on the windshield tho, so I stripped it and tried RainX but had similar results.
