Very strange the on board computer hasn’t sent the driver a warning?

I have got them twice on my vehicle for 4x4 fault, turns out more computer issue than mechanical.

Hope you get some answers soon.

I know, ?’s and ?’s?!

Powertrain Malfunction /Reduced Power

What Is Happening?

Illuminates when the system has detected a powertrain or a four-wheel drive fault.

What Should I Do?

Probably in the past month I have heard this klunk but not 3 in succession.

It has been pretty cold out so I thought that might have something to do with it. I decided to just note it and see if it happens again. It probably happened 2 or 3 times in the month.

I'm not worried as I have a SC locally if I run into anything major.

I couldn't figure out if it was front or back. Time will tell.

I have experienced something similar to this on my beast for the last 2 months or so although I am not able to replicate it on demand. For me it sounds like it is coming from the rear but not certain on that. It also seems to happen more often at the start of a drive so temperature may be a factor. I do plan to add it to my next service visit.

For me it happens when decelerating and taking a right turn. Comes from front left axle

Had it happen a couple times when I first got the truck. Sounds and feels like suspension parts that are springing back into place after being partially stuck or misaligned.

I wasn't overly concerned with it at the time.

Also had some creeks and noises when brand new and actuating the airlift to max setting and back. Been quite since.
