Have had my CT for 2 weeks now, absolutely love it. Actually enjoy the stock stainless look but I am a lazy cleaner. (Except these days since it's new). I want that easy to clean protection that PPF offers. Only one problem, can't decide on a color like so many other folks. I think I am going to give it 6mo to a year or so to see how I like the Steel and I am learning that it's important to see others up close. Hard to tell how it will look from pictures. The couple of colors at the top of my list seem to be fairly common amongst others as well, which means they are good "likeable" looks. However not sure I want to blend in, or stand out for that matter.

Any advice or lessons learned? Matte/Satin vs. Gloss? Darks vs lights? My right rear Q panel has some waviness to it, not a huge deal for me but would rather not highlight it if possible. Has anybody ever purchased "samples" and actually stick them on there CT, like testing paint on a wall at home?

Not in a hurry, just want to make sure the decent chunk of $ goes to a color I will enjoy for many years. I plan to have it installed not DIY.

If you prefer the stainless look, you could always do a clear gloss or matte to maintain the look whilst having the ease of cleaning. I went clear on my X.

For the CT I did ultrafit matte black. It has more of a sheeb to it which I really like.

Personally not a fan of the gloss colors on the CT other than a white one I saw in person. I also saw a tinted clear which was pretty cool.

No shortage of choices for sure..

My 5 cents vote for matte/satin colors. Main reason is no fingerprints :) That can also be achieved with regular satin/matte clear wrap though, if you want to keep the stainless.

We really liked Autobahn Silver Prismatic which shows like SS when viewed at 90 degrees, but shows different colors at other angles.

Went with PurePPF’s Satin Blue Rock. Looks black at night, dark blue in the shade and medium blue in full sun.

I personally think matte colors are a bit of a fad, I like them when they are clean, but as soon as they are just a little bit dusty, they look very dirty. My son wanted us to do a flat black wrap, I told him trust me a classic gloss black will look better, and he agreed after we got it done.

I have had so many “I don’t usually like the cyber truck, but something about yours actually looks good“. I just got mine back from getting a service request done and the service manager complemented me on how the gloss looks better than all the flat and satin trucks he sees.

Also I wrapped it myself using @TESBROS , the product was great and the customer support has been fantastic. I’m mentioning this because they are helping me again with an issue I had, not because of them, but something uncontrollable that happened, even though it’s been a year since I wrapped it. The Cybertruck is got to be the easiest vehicle ever to wrap on your own.

The Satin Blue Rock is high on my list!

All great replies so far. When it comes to black, the gloss wins hands down in my opinion. There are several matte blacks in my area and they just don't do much of anything for me. While I enjoy the look of the Prismatic/Color changing CT's, it's not for me either.

My top 4 so far are Pure PPF Mineral Blue, Satin Blue Rock, Gloss/Satin Bullet, and Platinum. All with Pure PPF so far since that's what the local installer uses that's also going to install my tint next week. I am not completely against doing it myself, however I don't really have the ideal means to make that happen currently. I would really like to see more in person, I need to attend an event or something.

While I do like the Stock Steel look, if I do go with PPF, I will choose a color. A color close to steel or similar is not out of the question, like the Pure PPF Platinum, I really like that one.

I also like the crazy rusted Apocalypse look, but I also "mostly" like being married!

Next task, sift through the Twraps catalog, thanks for sharing by the way, and I appreciate all the help.

Give yourself a couple months of ownership; the truck really does hit a middle ground sweet spot of looking good while dirty & also looks great when cleaned up and sharp. It's a brutalist design; allows yourself some time (several weeks) between cleaning it, you may change the way you think about it.

Having to not be careful with a painted body is a complete paradigm shift from the norm, and it takes time to change your mindset on it.

also, most people don't understand that it will take quite a while to get a good amount of the manufacturing oils out of the pores of the metal, which make the fingerprinting problem much worse at the very beginning. also-also, when people leave annoying smudge prints all of your truck for seemingly no reason, you learn a bit more about the cleanliness mindset of your friends and family.

I love my Matte black ppf wrap. If I was going to do it again, I would consider matte clear PPF, keep the look of the stainless, but no fingerprints and easier to clean.

I just ordered the rental, because i'm inColor PPF Analysis Paralysis too.
T-Wraps: I tried your clear tint PPF wrap at 50% and 30% & both to dark for me, I would like to test it at 70% if you have a scrap kicking around.

Ah we stopped working with the 70% one... we don't carry or offer it anymore at all.
