The premium AWD will go away and the base AWD will be 65,990. The air suspension, upgraded interior and the “vault” etc are options that pushes the price up to 75K.

Tesla prefers to build optioned vehicles, they want to standardize production, so they are likely to keep it for the “go all in” people, and keep the lower cost model for the price sensitive market. that’s just how they do things now. I bought the “fully loaded” model (non-beast) at $80K, back in August of 2025, if this was availble then, I would have been fine with it, it’s $300/month less on the 60 month financing.. that matters. I tend to keep a vehicle until theres nothing left, last was a 13 year old Tesla Model S. I don’t expect I will be buying another vehicle…

It just doesn't seem like this is a normal pricing situation. They may have just been trying to move the leftover RWD parts. Dropping to 60k is very low. We will see if this trim sticks around long term.

All this talk of theories of price.

Let say this current model moves to $39.995 and we know the others $$ to go up from there.

Quantity not quality!!

Easier to sell ten at $39k, and way better than squeaking buy selling two at $69k.

Done right the second time.
I actually have a theory, the price will go the $3,990. They actually meant to start it at that price but there was a typo by an intern for the reveal presentation and based on the reaction and pre-orders they decided to stick with the $39,900 lowest tier price for a while.

So don't reserve now, you can get them for just a few grand soon! Production lines will be humming at top capacity!

I think the updated price is going to be $62,490 or just $2500 higher. I've been poking around the Tesla website and at the bottom of the screen it keeps populating the AWD Standard price at $62,490, and then a few screens later it will reset to $59,990. Probably a coding issue as they start staging for the next phase.
I think this is a reasonable price also. Shouldn't nerf the recent sales momentum much, but it does capture some more margin dollars. Diehard CT fans like Mini get the introductory price, and latecomers still see a substantially less expensive option than the Premium models.
We'll see this weekend!

I was blown away by the quality of audio system of the premium AWD. I have spent over $100,000 in audio gears looking for that perfect sound stage image and clear highs and mids and strong yet musical bass. I have realized that the shape of room, the distance between the walls and wavelength of the sound play the most important role. I don’t know if Tesla engineers “engineered” the CT interior space and speaker placement but it sounded like $50,000 system.
I mean, the sub uses airspace in the frame to increase the available air volume while still maintaining a sealed-sub sound. So, yeah, the frame engineers and sound engineers worked together on the sound system.

That can also happen if you had core wheels selected on the basic AWD at some point.

I wander if they modified the RWD version to make this new version(I'm sure plenty of those unsold), and after they run out of the old inventory, they will start producing them this way, and charge more. It would make sense that they didn't know what the demand was going to be and wouldn't know when they would run out. Now they know.

Reworking a vehicle is expensive labor wise. Just sell them, or use them for Supercharger service and road side assistance vehicles.

Oh, just went out to tesla.com and they don'e say when they are available on the order page. Still reports 4-6 weeks for the Premium AWD.

I think you're correct. I had not toggled on the 20" Core Wheels, but I guess it was including them sometimes automatically. If I enter the landing page and click on "Starting at $59,990," it shows $62,490 as the price at the bottom of the page. If you toggle thru the Premium trucks and back, it drops back to $59,990. But if you click right on "Order" and ask for the price breakdown, it IS including the core wheels in that $62,490 price.
I do like that $2500 for a March 1 price increase (and if they drop Premium by $2500, then a $15k spread seems reasonable), but I guess that was just a suggested sale/glitch on the wheels.

You're going to see a ton of CT on the road now, demand is off the charts.
I would agree with this. The options out there are very limited. however, a lot of folks think Tesla is getting out of the car business and into others. I believe if they offered even more models, or trims they would explode. Either way I sure love that truck.

They have dropped the $1000 referral/Loyalty discount from the base AWD. It is still available on the premium models.
Luckily I ordered Monday, so I was able to snag the extra discount. I had an old RN115 reservation, so that $100 and the $1000 loyalty went toward the truck. After the $250 order fee, I am at $61,135 plus tax and title. Delivery is $1995. I wish they had a pick up at the delivery lot option. I'd love to fly to Austin and drive back! Get some use out of the 30 day free FSD trial!

Same here. Always a changing Tesla.

Even if one picks it up at the factory destination/delivery is still charged. Conceptually think about it. It is pretty easy to understand why.

I get it, but a guy can dream! Either way, I am getting an exceptional deal. Ill miss air ride and ventilated seats for sure, but leaving $20K in investments is very ideal. that said if they offer 0% on the premium models, before I take delivery, I'll have a tough choice to make. Putting my 60K in trade in value in my investment account and fully financing the premium at 0% certainly has some potential advantages. But having a paid off truck that does what I need is also fine. If Robotaxi network is a real thing, this thing can go to work and buy me a Cyberbeast!
