Tell her that as basically a tank, it the safest option for the “family”. Yes it’s a 100K but there’s no price you wouldn’t pay to keep them all safe.

just keep talking about it and how awesome it is and how it is the biggest thing in life you ever wanted and how it will change your family life, commute and shopping experiences to the next level!
show her videos and do Pro and Cons table with all Founders options and their cost to prove that Founders edition will pay for itself in 4 weeks

Then....do you qualify for federal and/or state tax credits, or is your income over the limits? If your income is over the qualification limits, decision to get a Foundation series seems easy.

If you do not have a Powerwall or home backup system, the $15,000 minimum (more likely $17 - $18k) value included in the Foundation series makes a significant dent in the $20k premium.

If you already have a home power backup, or don't value it, the minimum $7k for FSD is another aspect to consider. FSD and the other options are at least half of the Foundation series premium.

If your income is below the federal income limits for tax credits, the decision can certainly go either way. More qualitative factors come into the decision. Family safety is certainly one to consider (was a significant factor when I purchsed my October 2018 Model 3, with a teenager about to start driving).

I had to do a PPT (basically) for the 69k announced prices.

I dont have the PPT powers to convince at 100k.

But I'm gonna re-do for the 79k lol

I've never understood the need to "convince" anyone, aside from my parents when I was a child. But I do make the majority of the money in our marriage. I would definitely have to discuss/convince her if she makes the majority of the money. What would she possibly do if you just "responsibly" bought it? Give you a spanking? If you can afford it, just buy it.

Don't have a wife yet but....

1. Doubles as a backup system to power your home for a while. Equivalent battery capacity would be $20-$40,000.
2. Bulletproof to protect the kids
3. If she is into cars, you can put it into launch mode and drop the suspension on a test drive.
4. Electricity for now is cheaper than petroleum.
5. Theoretically, if you had enough solar, you could charge the thing for free
6. Show her videos of the full-self driving dodging car accidents.
