Cover for Extension Cord Coupler

I needed an extension for my power cord, but was concerned about the coupler. I found this cover for outboard boat cables that is working well.

Coupling extension cords isnt smart for high amp draws. Why didnt you just buy a thick long extension cord? You can get 50/75/100ft cords from Home Depot.

This extension cord works great and I need the Tesla style so it will back up my house if I lose power, which as already come in handy when a tree took out my power, it popped right over to my truck! The point is I didn't want to be dragging the NACS coupler on the driveway, so used this boat sleeve that is actually doing the job.

Right... I wasn't talking NACS... I was talking about the extension cord itself. Is the coupler for the for mobile charger and its already a single extension cord (which is totally fine), or are you combining extension cords? As for the cover, it doesn't look waterproof to me and doesn't look like it would hold up in a heavy downpour. Amazon has some really nice outdoor couplers. I have used these and they are excellent:

I have poured buckets of water on mine and they work perfectly.

Think OP is just using the NACS extension. I keep one in the smugglers bay / under bed compartment just in case I need it on travel.
