Cracked bumper by shop - wwyd?

Took my CT for a wrap and had the bumper covers painted and the shop told me they cracked the bumper during the install process. No damage to CT itself and bumper was not near the vehicle at the time.

shop did not offer to replace the bumper said it was an easy repair and I will not notice it unless I remove the bumper and look at the back to see where it was repaired. They said if its not 100 percent satisfactory to me they will replace and repaint etc

Am I being too picky here not wanting what only I will know is a damaged and repaired bumper??

Umm - 1, how does a bumper crack? 2, you’re replacing it. Repair on a 100k vehicle new is crazy

Did they volunteer exactly how it happened? If not, ask them to describe the circumstances in which it cracked.

If they are hesitant to spill the beans then I would be concerned. If they come completely clean then ask them "if it was yours, what would you want done?".

Both of those should help you guys reach the right conclusion.

You have a lawyer send them a firmly worded letter.

They are absolutely responsible to restore it to original condition.
