Trying the electric tape method! Will see what happens
Sponsored
I did 3 wraps of electrical tape on all the doors haven’t had an issue since.I had the noise happen on my passenger side door. I heard people put grease on the latch. I was hesitant to think it was because of no grease because it didn’t sound like it could be it, but to my surprise it solved the problem. I went to autozone and bought the cheapest container of grease I could find, it was a dark red which I didn’t realize until I opened it. I applied a dab of it on the movable latch part on the door and the contact points. Haven’t heard the noise in months, so I’m glad to say that it solved the problem.
That noise is coming from door strikers, had that in my Beast for a while tesla will lubricate them but noise would come back, i fixed for good put some elletric tape on all 4 strikers and noise will go away until tesla has a fix for it.Happens at parking lot speeds.
It’s not the door seals and it’s not the seats rubbing against the center console.
anyone familiar with this sound?
Had mine for 4 months and I just got the creak from what sounds like my passenger side b-pillar. Thanks, to this thread, I know what to try to fix it: add some grease (I have some waterproof grease I use on the axle rod on my motorcyle) or electrical tape on the door striker.Wanted to update everyone watching this on a fix the service center did for my truck. I had the creak sound coming from what sounded like the B pillars when accelerating and braking. When I got to the service center we took it for a test drive and the tech confirmed he could hear the creaking. When I got the truck back the next day it was silent. The service note for this was:
Hope that is helpful!
