I was parked and just sitting in the Cybertruck. Just letting the realty of this beast being home washing over me. My eyes were kind of just resting on the squirkle. I then noticed a very small shake. Like a high frequency vibration. I touched the wheel and it stabilized. Then after a few seconds it came back. Touch the wheel again and it was gone. Some gremlins to do with the force feedback unit. Anyone else see this ?

Did you have the infotainment going, specifically the racing game? That will send feedback.

No, no games. Just the default screen showing the Cybertruck. It’s very very slight. Starring at the wheel is necessary - not that I do that often. ?

Interesting, no chance you were putting your foot on/off the brake?
Also did you notice if the steering squirkle was centered or turned one way or another, standard power steer will sometimes auto correct slightly if the wheel is cranked all the way to the right or left.

Depending on how Tesla implements their driver detection, you could have been experiencing hand wheel motor output used for that purpose. Torque sensors will detect driver hand wheel force and frequency, which is different than the force applied by the hand wheel actuators. Also, it could have been a slight energizing of the HW actuator that just happened to be enough energy to power the coils to produce a slight vibration.

In standard electronic power steering systems, the electric motor that helps assist steering is part of the mechanical steering rack so some of these transient vibrations are absorbed by the mechanical system, or overcome by the mechanical frictions. Since this is a Steer by Wire system without any mechanical linkages, those frictions are removed.

If you see it a lot, you could bring it to the attention of Tesla service. It could be useful in future calibration development to improve user feel.
