I received the invitation email this week and ordered the cyberbeast the same day. Neither the invitation nor the order confirmation email had an estimated delivery date. It just says: "Deliveries have begun in California and Texas, with more states in 2024.". I'm in South Carolina, Tesla owner, not employee or stock holder.

They must have changed it again. Did you see where the RWD was 2025?

I received the invitation to order (RN 11280...) on 12/28 and it definitely said mid to late 2024 for the beast. (Which is what I wanted, hoping for some of the early gremlins to be worked out before I take delivery.)

Soon after you ordered, the invites were changed, and the delivery dates became 2nf half 2024 for the Cyberbeast.
So that begs the question, did Tesla change their mind? Is Tesla going to order a few Beasts before the middle of the year? Basically, who knows.

There were 4 or so trimotor VINs this year, a couple were found today. Will they become customer vehicles or what? No one knows.

Yea, if kind of bites!

I took a pause in ordering when I saw the delivery windows: AWD Dec-Mar and Cyberbeast Jan-Mar. For a fleeting moment, I considered ordering an AWD with the hope of a December delivery but since I wasted an hour after receiving the email, I thought I had already missed the chance for a December delivery. I settled back and went all in on the beast knowing that they said no later than March.

But who knows now?? I started watching other people's threads after my order confirmation state 2nd half 2024 beast delivery. Will the Beast arrive this quarter?

Thanks! In Canada and ordered on May 29, 2020 … obviously waiting still for Canadian pricing, etc. first.

I was in the first batch of CyberTruck invitees on Friday, December 9. I ordered my CyberBeast on Saturday morning.

When I was ordering, the delivery time was January to March, 2024. I remember this clearly (sorry, no screenshot) because the AWD could be delivered in December 2023 and I was torn. I had to get over $20,000 higher price for CyberBeast vs AWD, too.

As background, I have the 11th last Roadster made, two PowerWalls for my house, owned and returned a Model 3 and Model 3 Performance, and currently own a Model Y and Model Y Performance with my Roadster (garage queen).

I was at the Tesla Semi launch in Hawthorne and saw the new Roadster unveiled when it came out of the back of the Semi. That was fun!

In 2023, I was invited to the Plaid sales event at the Fremont factory and went around the track twice with two launches.

I'm fairly dialed in with Tesla and have been so since 2011. Yes, an early investor.

A new twist is the bi-directional charging (PowerShare) with the huge battery in the CyberBeast. It is innovative and exciting. Has everyone received and completed the survey? I did and said I have two PowerWalls installed. I believe that I have a compatible gateway so it may make it easier and faster for Tesla to enable PowerShare for me.

For context, a CyberBeast has the capacity of nine (9) PowerWalls and bi-directional charging is hardware enabled.

Regarding production and deliveries of the AWD to date, Tesla's priority is getting AWDs into all of their stores. This is to draw traffic into the stores and sell Model S, 3, X and Y vehicles. The AWDs are roped off to avoid fingerprints.

Complicating matters is getting the Model 3 Highland produced and delivered in the US. I know people that are waiting for the refreshed Model 3.

My belief is the CyberBeast will be the very best vehicle Tesla makes. And Tesla wants it to be robust. Just like a Plaid S or X.

There must be some hardware related issues with the CyberBeast that are causing a delay and I can only speculate that it is battery related. It could be supply chain related as well. Software can be updated over the air, hardware cannot.

I am confident that there will be several Easter eggs that are hardware related in the CyberBeast that are not in the AWD. With my first Model 3, we were super pleased with the rear seat heaters that were part of a software upgrade months after we had the vehicle. No one knew the heating elements were in place already.

I'm anxious, as we all are, to get my CyberBeast. My hard deadline is in June because I have a 3,000 mile trip planned from California up the west coast to Canada, then across BC to Alberta, and back through Montana, Utah and Arizona to California. There will be a limited number of CyberBeasts delivered by then so I'm sure it will turn heads, especially in Canada.

A June delivery allows me to start my trip in July so I'm (anxiously) chill for now.

Finally, I'll share that I asked if I should switch from CyberBeast to AWD and was advised not to do so yet.

Did they give you a reason as to why?
No reason given.

Internally at Tesla, I believe everything CyberTruck related is incredibly sensitive and confidential.

I do trust the advice that I was given and I've learned not to probe.

If I switch to AWD I will share that decision.

if that’s what you saw it’s what you saw, but I’ll admit no small amount of incredulity based on what we know.

For one, not here nor anywhere else have we seen a screenshot of a Beast EDD with those dates. Whe’ve only seen, at best, the “early 2024” verbiage, and that was only for about the first week. Thereafter we’ve only seen “mid to late 2024.”

I half expect that some people who saw “early 2024” may have a miss-memory of their interpretation of that language being essentially “early must mean Q1”, vs the AWD verbiage at the time (Dec - March).

this is not to say that a handful of the very earliest CB orders from the Dec 8 tranche might not see a CB in Q1. But I expect those will be disproportionately employees/VIPs, and the more prominent of them at that.

Beast VINs 000000-26 have been built but already delivered. Beast VINs 000027-50 still haven’t even had their numbers activated yet. Those early VIN slots are prized, and not likely to go to any Joe normal.

(recognizing one of y’all may not be a Joe normal, but I’m assuming to get one of the first 50 VINs you have to be Joe very-not-normal.)

The other thing we *know* is that beast builds are bottlenecked for driveline supply reasons (batteries are no constraint, as they’re of agnostic demand between AWD/Beast with identical packs), and that it is a significant constraint

Of nearly 600 builds so far, only 28 have been Beasts. The majority of those 28 were delivered in connection with Nov 30. Delivery event (there were more than 10 units delivered, contrary to popular belief - they were delivered “off screen”).

So, that you and a couple of others are purporting to have seen Beast EDDs of Jan-March is certainly intriguing, but until we see a screenshot it’s hard for the rest of us to square with the facts at hand.

I took screen grabs of the order options for the Cybertruck on 12/8 as I was placing my order. I placed my order within an hour of receiving the email. Here are the dates it showed for the All-Wheel Drive and Cyberbeast versions.

Makes me feel better that at least someone saw the same thing I saw. Hopefully what we saw holds true.
