I wouldn't attribute it to Tesla as a whole... more to the SC rep who mis-typed my name on all my registration documents... But, yeah. Took SOOOO long to get the paperwork right.

Well. The new CB is in the garage charging with the mobile charger on my 40 amp welder outlet at 25 amps using a 6-50 to 14-50 adapter I bought for $20 on Amazon for that purpose.

The delivery center is 230 miles away through three states so it was an all day drive for the round trip. The crew at the Pleasant Grove Utah Delivery Center were wonderful. I arrived about 2 hours before my appointment. I just wanted to find the cybertruck, take some pictures and then go have lunch and come back at the appointed time. A representative met me at the door and said he would check on the status of the prep work. He was back in 5 minutes with another rep with all of the paperwork in hand and they said there was no reason they could not get me on the way right away. I signed a few documents and took the personalized plates off of my trade in vehicle. Since I am a Tesla noob the representative spent some time setting up my phone and going over the controls and navigation with me. I drove around the delivery center for practice and was on my way in about a half hour from start to finish.

I actually didn't get any pictures taken until I stopped at a supercharger half way home. The front of the truck is covered with bugs but the windshield being sloped the way it is does not seem to catch many bugs. The steer by wire is easy to get used to. The single pedal acceleration and deceleration is going to take a little practice. I used the traffic aware cruise control. The most unusual aspect of that is some deceleration triggered when I met vehicles on corners where the computer seemed to panic thinking that it was on a collision course.

The Aero covers came installed on the truck. I will have to make an appointment or two when the light bar and range extender are available. There is a $2500 credit in the store. I don't want Powershare so, according the the accompanying email, I should be able to use it to purchase a wall connector, rear under seat storage bin and maybe a spare tire kit and or roof crossbars.

I finally have a VIN (though still no delivery date), using the Richmond, VA SC!!

We are rapidly approaching 40k Cybertrucks, (I think someone here already posted a 37xxx vin), probably by mid-October.

(Now, I wish I could get my military discount. I'll broach the subject with the SC and get their recommendation. )

Interesting thing is mine is received today, a day later to yours and mine is around 1000+ down in VIN# than yours.

Interesting my VIn from today was 356XX range and maybe because all the higher VIN numbers from the last 2 days being mostly Gray interior whereas mine is white , thinking it traveled delayed waiting on a bigger transport of Cybertrucks to deliver to this area along with the grays, lol.

Are you picking up in Mechanicsburg as well? I’ll let you know when I get a delivery date if they coincide.

Dammit man Vacation getting in the but someone in Seattle deal did not work out so I will take del. of their CB 7 days early but I will lose offroad tires.
Now I can go on vacation and someone in Tacoma Wa. will get my CB next week with offroad tires. Great day for me.

Ok all got it today drove around for seven hours. Damn I love this new toy, fun as hell and worth the wait. I wish you all the best of luck. It will take a little getting use to, but all good.

Totally normal. Haven't we heard they are making 5,000/month now? 1,000 difference would be less than a week. In addition to that, the production is not necessarily exactly sequential with respect to the assigned VIN numbers.

I just received my scheduling invite in the App, however it is only showing one day available which is next Saturday the 28th. That seems odd as they usually give you 3 days to choose from, as so with my other Teslas.
Have they sent you the next step to schedule as well? I am messaging them now to see of anything is available sooner than one day next weekend and will revert back once or itf they update the app.

I accidentally quoted the wrong person earlier.. Did Tesla update your app today for scheduling delivery and if so, did they give you only one day to choose from in the calendar view?
Typically they give 3 days to choose from and mine is only showing one day next week 9/28 Saturday as an option.
I messaged delivery team and awaiting a reply whether a sooner day is available or if that is the only option. So Sat 9/28 either 2, 3 or 4 pm to pick from.

Go to the SC and ask to have a sooner delivery, I did and am now taking delivery tomorrow instead of the 28th originally scheduled. The only way they were able to schedule me sooner is because I paid the deposit in full on the Plaid app. So pay your deposit and head to SC

Good advice, I aways pay via the app when scheduling, although with the CB, I’d rather wait until I see it as compared to previous deliveries, just in case there are issues I want addressed or something rarely is reason for concern.
However, to just drive over 4 hours round trip to see if I can take delivery earlier is out of the question, even though I like to drive but this drive is boring as boring gets scenery wise.

Id rather stick to my original plan which is to continue talking to them via the messaging in app and see if something else can be arranged, if not then the 1 day they gave will have to suffice.
