Hello, I recently added the Cybertent to my truck. When attempting to inflate the tent for the first time I head air leaking out with every pump. Upon inspection I discovered that the female threaded part on the end of the air hose that attaches to the tent fitting was split. I can't imagine that this is how the pump is supposed to function but the threads are so separated, I can't imaging that this part broke. Additionally, based off of Youtube videos, it seems that the newer tents may have a different setup here as the older ones seem to have a removable adapter.

Could you share what your hose end looks like?

Thanks,
Brian

Mine looks the same except maybe not ass severe. Just looks like a seam where the die met on mine. Yours looks worse but as long as you were able to make it finger tight without the threads slipping it should not have been the source of the leak. The O-ring around the port does all the work there.

I have the same recently installed tent. Couple of comments. Have you made sure the other three valves are closed? (Not trying to be condescending here, it just wasn’t obvious to me there were 4)
Not sure how my pump looks exactly because I’m not home and I never use it. I use a SUP pump that also inflates my coody koala 7 tent.
i honestly think this is a major oversight in a $3k tesla product designed for a truck with a plug in the back.
whether the pump is “clever” with its dual stage design, is irrelevant. its primitive for this kind of setup and a powered pump makes life easier.

this is the one I have but there are much cheaper very well reviewed options.
No-brainer if you ask me.

@TickTock thanks for the photo, I believe mine is defective as it is not connected at all. This confirms my suspicion. Thank you!

@hemiarch what adapter do you use with your SUP pump and the Cybertent? I've been looking for an electric pump but not finding one with the right adapter.

And yes, the other valves are closed. The air is clearly blowing out where the triangular piece with the female threads is split and not sealing. Some air goes into the tent but the rest blows out. The gauge on the hand pump is not holding pressure so it takes lots of pumping and it's not clear what pressure the tent is inflated to.

The sup pump came with a keyring on the end of the hose with about 8 connectors on them. I just tried them one at a time and one of them fits great.

@hemiarch, I picked up the SUP pump you recommended, but none of the included adapters work when trying to connect to the tent (or the CT hose). Not sure what I’m doing wrong? Are you screwing the adapter directly into the tent or the pump hose? Thanks-

The SUP pump hose. Then I push that assembly into the opening on the tent and power it up. I’ll try snap some photos of which fitting and make a little video of it my next day off. It really does work.
Sorry it’s giving you trouble.

The newer (2025) tents have a pump with an air hose that has the fitting on the hose. The older tents (2024) had an air hose with a hose and a separate adapter. The tent uses 'Boston Valves' and that is what you need the adapter for. I've attached a photo of my setup. You can get the adapter you need in this kit. I bought the Topump paddle board pump and it works wonderfully with the tent. I use it with my Exped air mattress too. The only way I was able to find adapters for that was buying the Exped Mega Pump so pricey but I have a backup electric pump now.

Thanks for that. Haven’t gotten round to putting the tent back in the car and inflating to get photos

Here's a better view of the actual setup I'm using. It took some research to get to it so hopefully this saves some time for others.

Yep, I have a similar setup for mine. My kit was missing the boston valve adapter, but I had the 2024 version, so, I just used the one from the tent.

Pump it to 4.5 psi to check and then stop at 7.5.
