I live in Central Mass, which is a much more purple section of the state than @koolio 's neck of the woods. I haven't gotten a middle finger in about two months. (It's always old Hondas and Subarus, or young guys in beater pickups, btw). I think I am seeing more waves/ thumbs up than I used to (any and all vehicles- no "type").
Someone has reprogrammed the robot-brains to hate something else now. (Altho, I will say I am glad that Waymo's trying to enter the Boston market before Tesla. There's a drivers' union hating on Waymo right now, and that could have rekindled things a bit if the RoboTaxi was the first autonomous rideshare option in town.
When people did flip me the bird, I smiled and waved, as I imagine that pretending I saw their action as a compliment would irritate them even more than seeing my space triangle did. But the reactions have always been vastly more positive than negative. Even though I have had this truck for 10 months, I STILL get several Sentry vids per week of people walking around it, peeking in the windows. Never had any sort of vandalism. Just admiration and wonderment.
Believe me, when you are behind the wheel listening to music, you will be oblivious to other drivers' reactions, so don't let that deprive you.

Hey folks - I was very interested in a CT earlier this year, but with all the political nonsense, I got a Model S to avoid being a target for all the misdirected aggression.

It’s obvious the temperature has cooled.

Are you guys still seeing issues?
I call this yearā€¦ā€THE YEAR OF THE CYBER TRUCK!!!ā€! I wouldn’t miss it for the world! You be you!
On the other hand, I live in Texas where guns and trucks are cool! So, I don’t have to deal with much push back. I’m very open minded. There is another chick in my subdivision that drives a full on new EV Volkswagen van that is fabulous! I’m sure she’s liberal-and I’m A OK with that. I still talk to her at the ice cream shop! My host parents and in laws are democrats. They have huge hearts and we are very close. Like PokĆ©mon-you gotta love em all!
So, I say…
ā€œLet your freak flag fly. Way up in the bright blue sky. They say you're a weirdo-no no no. You’re a super hero-oh oh ohā€! Superman pose! Wink wink.
And remember for those that judge or don’t get you, they aren’t your people anyway.
If you see my post on cybertruck theme songs and you listen to some of the CT owner’s songs, you will understand how they feel when they are inside their CT’s. Then you have your answer-my friend!
EV Prices
Also, I suspect prices will drop very soon!!! I’m expecting a terrible quarter right now for all EV manufacturers that I’m hoping will push sales incentives up and prices down.
Lower Interes
Additionally, the Feds should be announcing a quarter pint drop today, 10/29, and possibly another quarter point in December. So, boom-better interest rates too!
Demo a Cyber Truck - 48 hours for free
Try it out! See if the naysayers are too intense.
Kind regards, Jazzy

I probably get 1 or 2 negative reactions a month now, it is much better. My experience differs from most on here, I almost always get shouts or middle fingers from women, seldom the bearded type you all seem to get.

There is one concerning issue. My partner rarely drives the truck alone, but when she does, she seems to get it the worst. I am a big guy, maybe that is enough to stop some of the morons, but people seem more eager to pick on a solo woman. Every time she exits the vehicle, she has someone taunting her or saying something dumb. It sucks, but I am not surprised cowardice is a trait of these lunatics.

From my perspective you’re fine everywhere except Denver. There’s a specific kind of crazy there and they’re holding on to the Cybertruck hate like a bench vice.
Even Denver is "chill" these days, except for the stupid "I bought my (Model Y) before Elon was crazy" bumper stickers I occasionally see. The struggle is real to not slap a "I bought this Tesla when I found out Elon is awesome" sticker.

I'm still one of the few Cybertrucks in Stapleton/Central Park 80238 east Denver, the land of Tesla Model Y and Model 3, and Rivian RIS Mommobiles. Meanwhile in Littleton/Highlands Ranch I see a lot more Cybertrucks and GM Hummers.

And lots of excited kids, single-digit to high school age, everywhere I drive.

At the Bay Area here, in average I see at least one Cybertruck everyday. People seem to get used to seeing them, and don't pay much attention to them.

Mine was wrapped in dark grey Satin PPF, sometimes even I had a hard time spotting it at the parking lot, lol.

Here in the Bay Area as well and we’ll see 5-10 a day consistently! Definitely seem to be more on the roads and the anger-delusional-rage is near zero. Well, at least what’s expressed. Haha.

Took delivery May 10th, 2024. It was rough for the first year but has been better every month since then. Month ago we parked at a hotel that had us directly next to the sidewalk in a busy area with with a number of bars in the area. Came out to over 400 Sentry events, nothing done to the truck. So many people looking inside and walking around the truck. It feels like it is calming down out there, some of it may be I just don’t care at all any more and don’t look but I don’t seem to see anyone really looking and no middle fingers. I think like most things the Cybertruck became old hat and haters have found something else to hate. Favorite vehicle I have ever owned.
