Here is the link of an interesting video about the presumably weight of the different versions of the Cybertruck

Interesting video. I could have missed something, but I saw he only calculated one layer of SS for the tailgate. And I didn't see any calculation for the inside of the truck bed and sails.

The other missed item is the stainless steel panels are 3 dimensional. It's not just sheets of 30x welded together. There's a lot more stainless steel inside the exterior skin that he's not accounting for.

He also accounts for a "skateboard" platform during his analysis. Wouldn't that suggest a body on frame fabrication versus the exoskeleton that's been widely discussed? I don't think his final conclusions are off by much considering the statements from Elon, but his specific accounting seems off to me.

Right. I think the frame/body will weigh at least double what this guy projects. Which will add about 800 lbs to his number, which brings it in line with what other people have projected: 5,250 - 5,500 lbs.

Now that we have more information about the structural battery do people still think the CT2 will weigh more than 4500lbs? I don't think so.

It will be pretty wild if they can get the curb weight of the CT close to the curb weight of other ICE pickups.

For example: a 4x4 Crew Cab Chevy Silverado with a 5.7' bed weighs 4,920lbs

A custom "Trail boss" can reach as high as 5,240lbs.

I never understood why people think it would weigh more than a comparable crew cab. Elon said it would be the same weight.

Yeah idk, I forgot he said that. I only say this because so far it seems like every Tesla Vehicle weighs significantly more than comparable ICE vehicles.

Edit: "We are able to achieve greater capability in the same dimensions and weight"-Elon Musk.

From this we can assume DMCT will weigh ~ anywhere from ~4,400lbs to ~5,400 lbs. (range of curb weights for 4WD super cab 2020 F-150's)

Hah! I've already watched this. Been following Warren for a while now. He's a great reporter.
I once thought he was reasonable but he is too extreme and thus unreliable (to me) as an information source.

Weird dude too. In one of his videos, he intermittently had bikini women to garner attention. Plus I think his math is just wrong.
