I had mine in for service on something else yesterday. I specifically asked if I was getting a new wiper motor because of the recall and they knew nothing about it. At all. Any of them.

Delivery scheduled for today June 19th 11:00am

Received a call from Tesla last night to tell me they were pushing my delivery to 6/29

I pushed back and they changed to 6/24

WTF?!?!? This sucks!

Question:
Does anyone have a good “what to look for” list when taking delivery?
Would you prefer to have a vehicle with a defect ?

originally scheduled for today, got rescheduled for tomorrow, and no rescheduled tentatively for end of next week.

I took the CT in to get the D Rings installed in the floor of the bed and mentioned I would like it checked, if there was any issue.

The response was we have not heard about any issues or recall for that.

Perhaps and hopefully if that is the delay it is isolated to a small shipment of the motors.

Got an option in the App to reschedule for today instead of tomorrow.

Weird.
The first thing the guy asked me was if I “saw the internet” today.

I was speechless as I knew it wasn’t good news, but then he said he had a Warehouse full of Cybertrucks waiting on new wiper motors.

sounds pretty typical. I think the most up to date info is often here on the forums/reddit and the employees don't necessarily keep track until it shows up in their work.

Last night I had an option in the app to reschedule my Thursday delivery for today at noon so I did so.

I arranged for an Uber driver to pick me up at 10:30am this morning to take me to Tysons Corner for delivery.

At 10:20am I looked at my app and the delivery date changed to 6/26 at noon. Cost me $192.01 because it was too late to cancel Uber.

How can so much change in 15 hours?

I was finally able to schedule my delivery at the Jax SC. I was emailed by Tesla asking for some business documentation, and the employee who emailed me mentioned it was now in Jax after being stuck in Texas for nearly a month. I had to go in person, but the advisor at the SC immediately helped me schedule it without issues. Before going into the SC, I didn't have the option to schedule anything using the app. He initially said I could pick it up tomorrow morning, but then he talked to some other people in the back and realized they "ran out" of replacement wiper motors and wouldn't be getting any until "next week" - So now I'm scheduled for the 27th! He said that was the earliest they could do considering the wiper situation. My VIN is in the 14500s.

You might be right! Just called my SC and they said my CT will be there Tuesday with delivery on Wednesday. Hopefully this shows that the hold is over... (VIN is 18XXX)
