Those wheels look totally out of character on a Cybertruck. I guess it just goes to show how aesthetics are very much an individual preference.
How about this classic sports truck look? Wire with knockoff hubs. A plastic dead-blow sledge could be handy for both dent-proof-demos and wheel changes.

The old DeLorean relate to CT superficially (skin deep). The new one is like CT deep inside.

very cool. Though from these pics it looks like the Delorean is not 3mm.

Christopher Lloyd is still alive. Tesla needs to schedule a quick clip with Dr Brown showing off what he found in the future.

Well, yeah, both the new DeLorean and the Cybertruck are electric. The similarity seems like it stops there.

It seems the new DeLorean is designed to interact and play with it. Tesla's design ethos more to make the car disappear and not be intrusive to your life, except for core functionality of transportation (and of course the required music and connectivity). A Tesla seat will never be able to hug you, if you really need a hug that badly, ask Optimus for one.

While I applaud DeLorean for thinking outside the box, and the styling is pretty stunning if you're into that kind of thing, it just feels gimmicky to me, and of the kind that would get old really fast. I would hate to spend 3X what a Tesla costs (or whatever it ends up being), only to find it's a worse car at its core. The DeLorean is an ultra-luxury car. And therein lies the problem with any automaker that tries to compete with Tesla. They won't be able to sell in high volume because the value will not be there.

I know it sounded like that but I didn't mean to suggest DeLorean in any form is in the same class as a truck. Just wanted to share what they are doing since it was related.

Low price, high volume is not for the faint of heart. These companies have no choice but going for gimmicky/luxury customers that are willing to pay to stand out. I admire the concept cars from the distance but I always end up with something affordable I can use. When my back gives up and I can no longer use a truck, I will be looking for the most efficient station wagon BEV on the market (I hope someone makes one).

I don't think John DeLorean would have liked the design of that prototype very much.
His work had a definite theme which seems to be largely ignored by the new rights holders.
Needs less Lotus, more Renault Alpine.

Awesome!! This will hopefully be a view of my driveway soon.
Carefull leaving those gull-wing doors open like that. The vandals will surely have a field day.

Indirectly I think so, Because if you look at the original design drawings for the Pinto it's pretty clear they are trying to emulate the style of the Pontiac GTO, another John Delorean project.
