Okay, guys, I went to Tesla showroom near us in Austin Texas. They clearly told ,e that the ev credit for Point of sale 7500.00 does work yet because of the trim mold on the irs website. If anyone can show me they got the ev credit point of sale 7500.00 please let me know.

Try ordering on the website and see if you get the same thing. You'll get a draft purchase agreement.

You have to place your orders from the Tesla app in your phone since the credit shows under your Wallet.

12/31/2024 Tesla had a few thousand more Cybertrucks produced versus delivered.

I suspect once this supply (of 2024 production year, not qualified for federal tax credit) is depleted plus 2025 production—VIN with “S” for model year 2025--are available, we will see the federal tax credit showing on Tesla’s website. Patience, it’s coming….

I wanted to buy the CT but the app shows the same info as 2 months ago, maybe more. I suspected I won't get the 2025 model so I'm on hold. I don't want to buy a 2024 model in 2025. I'm also skeptical that I may not get the $7500 credit if it doesn’t show on the app. I've been checking it almost everyday.

Trump signed exec order yesterday intending to nullify most EV subsidies. The credit is still intact for now, but I'm guessing it will be gone before CT is qualified. Anyone have reason to think otherwise?

The 2025 AWD is listed on the FuelEconomy.gov site, but that doesn't mean all 2025 AWDs qualify.
At this point, Tesla is not processing them through the IRS portal at time of sale, so they are not eligible for credit then nor at tax filing time.

its pretty much all nonsense from everything been posted so far. trump cant remove the 7500.00 ev credit without congress vote. i dont understand why its not clear and the games. its not like there isnt thousands and thousands of cybertrucks sitting around

If the IRS has the CT AWD listed for -$7500 it will either enable Tesla to perform the point of sale deduction
Or if IRS is a yes and Tesla is a no, due to confusion, then it will be a tax credit on the 2025 tax return like we had in 2023
Won’t see the savings until 2026

am I wrong?

no, that i dont think is the case. this could get intresting, but i think imakes sense is maybe a 30 day window for the tax credit or for the rest of this year, otherwise the paperwork will get a mess
