I get asked a lot by friends and friends of friends for a tour of the truck. They hear all the FUD but know me well enough to figure there must be something more to it. I try to be a good EV ambassador but always come away forgetting to mention at least one cool feature. So I decided to keep a check list in the truck for such events. Maybe even keep a stack so I can hand them out. Here's what I got so far in no particular order. Will also include non-CT-specific stuff since many don't even have an EV yet. What am I forgetting? I will update the list as things are added.

  • Sports car handling
    • SBW
      • Easy, fast lock-to-lock with no hand-over-hand
      • adjusted for speed
      • triple-redundant for safety
    • Rear steer
      • better turning radius
      • better emergency handling (moose test)
    • Adaptive air suspension
      • can choose stiff or soft depending on situation and preference
      • lowers for easy-entry
    • 0-60 in 2.5s
  • Truck utility
    • Adaptive air suspension
      • 18" ground clearance at the touch of a button
      • flat underside (no diff hanging down)
      • many cameras
      • lowers for easy entry or for easier loading of the bed
      • tent mode
    • Locking tonneau.
    • 9.6kW 120V and 240V power outlets in bed
      • can be used for home backup - optionally automatically with powershare
    • smugglers bay
    • bed lighting
    • L-track, D-rings, etc
    • locking differentials
    • trail assist
    • wade mode (pressurized battery compartment)
    • exceptional short-range towing capabilities
      • easily keep speed uphill under full load with no overheating.
      • casting has superior strength but (as illustrated in recent viral video), less toughness. Have to talk about this one since everyone has seen or heard of this issue.
  • TeslaVision
    • full 3d rendered display for situation awareness
    • Can rotate view by dragging finger to see how close you are to the line, other vehicles, etc.
  • rear and side camera views to augment or replace mirrors.
  • Charge speed
    • 250kW (~600 mph) at supercharger (30 minute stop typ. on long trips)
    • 10kW (~25 mph) at home
  • Charge at home off-peak for < $0.03 per mile.
  • 2.4kW 120V in the cabin
  • Sentry mode
  • Multi-camera Dashcam
    • Can easily prove where fault lies in event of a collision.
  • FSD
  • Smart collision detection
  • Smart Summon
    • Can back out of a tight spot if boxed in
    • Can come to you at the door when raining or you have a heavy item to load.
  • HFS exterior shell
    • handgun bullet-proof
    • C4 proof
    • bump and scratch resistant
    • low maintenance (once you figure out how to avoid fingerprints)
  • Frunk
  • 48V mid voltage
    • less weight
    • More power for accessories (400W vs 240W on 12V accessory outlets)
  • Etherloop communication
  • Epic Sound system
  • Voice commands for most actions
  • BAW
  • Rear seat control screen
  • Netflix, Arcade, Toybox, etc. Can use the steering wheel & brake for driving games.
Generic EV stuff
  • Start each day with a full tank
  • Peak hp at much broader range of speeds.
  • Less maintenance (cabin filter, tires, and wiper fluid)
  • Lifetime brakes
  • Supercharger network (10% to 80% in < 30 minutes)
  • Phone as a key

Can you expand on this point? While driving or stationary?

Tell me about wade mode? Is this to keep batteries dry in high water? How do you engage?

That is a nice list of features ! thank you for sharing that list.

maybe add the 600+ HP for AWD and 800+ HP for Cyberbeast? also, acceleration 0-60mph in 4.1s for AWD ? that is hard to get by the other trucks in the same class and

I think having a quick table with financial comparisons CT vs other large trucks and even large high end SUVs would light up bulbs and greater interest in the more rational people... think one page table ... not trying to make you work too much, yet whenever I have a conversation about cool cars I inevitable touch the financial area.... some cars are marvelous but too pricy and the maintenance is too high later in the ownership cycle.

putting together a 10y TCO estimate for a CT is not easy and people may disagree on numbers, so one can use ranges instead of fixed number... I am still looking for that acceptable estimation to use as one of the tools to help me wrap around my head around the CT from a financial stand point. ( I am already a fan to buy it for the tech and features value prop : ) ). did you happen to see anyone trying to even put together a magic table with 10y TCO ?

Wow, that's a great list, but I don't have time for all that every time I go to the grocery store. I answer any questions usually starting with "Do you plan to keep that ________?"
Hell Yes! next question please....
