I haven’t noticed any issues with the follow distance. It’s driving very naturally for me. Only thing I really notice is the left turns are too close to the medians. And It touches the lines on curves sometimes.

This morning I got "TAKE OVER IMMEDIATELY" twice within a block of my house, but I was driving east towards the sun. I think I'll need to remove the shield and clean the interior windshield in front of the cameras, since the image looks hazy.

Let the support staff take it out to pick up lunch. Only requirement was FSD, and I get to pick the driver.

9 miles each way. Only one intervention. In the first 100 yards. She was freaked out and hit the brakes. I didn't ride along. No one likes that.

Comment was I could get used to that. Love it. Would make me relax on way to work. Will you buy me one?

On a left turn at a light it aimed for the median. It figured it out before I had to intervene, but slowed significantly mid-turn which got me showered in honks and middle fingers

Just got it this morning.

Turns: Seems pretty smooth, but not as accurate as the Model S. While getting onto a highway, the truck slightly drove over a sloped curb on a turn on the way into work this morning because it cut the turn too short.

Lane: It seems to frequently drive on the solid line on a curve. I also had it drive on the line on the highway. Always seems to huge the solid line.
Note: I have this same issue with auto-park, it's just not very accurate in between the lanes.

Distance: I need to look at follow distance; it seems to follow the car in the front more closely than the Model S.

Overall: Love it. Excited for more updates. So glad I got FSD for the truck. The truck is already fun to drive, this makes it a lot better.
Can you change how aggressively it performs in FSD?

I got warning sign “Take Over Immediately” and alarm, too. After reboot twice, still couldn’t get rid of it. Eventually, the alarm gone, but the warning sign still on. Later I found FSD still works even with that warning sign.

I have put about 100 miles of FSD over the last few days near my house and on the highway. My experience:

- skimmed curb doing a right hand turn into parking lot.
- could not get into left hand turn lane fast enough at a red stop light, so it stayed in the middle (straight) lane but kept on the left hand blinker and showed no remapping the navigation on display. I was afraid that it might actually try to turn left from the middle lane, so I took over.
- reactivated FSD after going straight at stoplight when we were supposed to go left. It showed that it would do a uturn at the next street. It got caught in the uturn unwilling to go over sidewalk curb to finish, and stopped, then started to backup into oncoming traffic to complete the uturn. I got scared that I might get rear ended, and disengaged so that I could get out of traffic.
- in highway stop and go traffic, it needed to get into the far right hand lane to exit. Nobody was letting us in. An opening appeared and truck quickly started to merge. The car in front quickly stopped and I was pretty sure we were going to rear end them as the truck did not appear it was going to brake. I slammed on the brakes and avoided a collision by about 2 inches.
- pulled into intersection at stoplight that had traffic backed up (like where they say "do not block intersection")
- on 5 lane highway while the road curved pretty hard to the right, the truck drifted one lane over, and then into the car pool lane without ever turning on the signal. I did not disengage because I wanted to see what was going to happen, and there were no cars behind me. It readjusted itself while in the car pool lane (does it know that it is approved to drive in carpool lanes in Arizona?), and stayed in carpool lane for a few more miles until it needed to get into the right hand lane to exit.
- Driving in downtown Phoenix after an event, many of the intersections had people walking in the crosswalks when they did not technically have the right away (for example, at an intersection when I was going straight through a green light). Truck saw the people and slowed/stopped for them to finish crossing.
- during rush hour stop and go traffic, car cut us off and truck successfully avoided collision with no intervention from me.
- drove from downtown Phoenix to my house in Mesa (about 30 miles) with no intervention needed. I never put my hands on the steering wheel until we got to my house and I had to park in the garage.
- at some points on the highway drive, FSD had me going almost 80 mph in a 65 (fine with me, that is how fast traffic was going). What are my options are to control the speed?
- lane changing on the highway and in my city streets were pretty flawless. Seemed very smooth and similar to lane changes I would have done as well.
- driving to a friend's house that is in a gated community, it drove past the key code box, and straight up to the gate. Had to disengage to get to the key code box (Can I teach it to stop at the box?)
- drove it to a very busy Costco. I'm confused when the FSD says, "you have arrived, press accelerator to continue". I let the car slow to a stop, then pressed the accelerator. It took control, and started to quickly turn into one of the parking aisles. I was expecting the self parking screen to appear and allow me to pick a parking spot for it. This never happened. Even when I disengaged FSD and slowly went through the lot. It never seemed to recognize that I was in a parking lot. Is there a way to "tell" the truck to find a spot?
- Does it "learn" my local routes and road conditions that might only apply to me? Or, is all knowledge that the system gains universal?

This is SO MUCH FUN to be using! I am fine being attentive and ready to take control when needed. I think it is great that I don't actually need to keep my hands on the wheel though.

Interesting to see comments. I wonder if different trucks have different camera calibration my truck tends to want to drive toward the middle of a two lane road when there’s no center line rather than riding on the right but otherwise I’ve had only two requests for intervention. Both occurred the first time I used FST yesterday and since then I’ve had none and so far I’ve driven, about 40 miles on it both in town and on highway, but mostly local roads. It is even nailing a 6 way intersection!

I have driven 580 miles in the 36 hours I've had 12.5.5 FSD: Interstate, narrow country two-lane roads (with farm machinery), big city driving (rush hour), etc. SO MUCH better than 12.5.4 in my X. No phantom braking, no "close calls." It is aggressive on the stopping for stop signs, etc, and sometimes my nerves kicked in to disengage FSD. I DO like how it starts to slow down for a speed limit, but still could start sooner, IMHO. My only real complaint is that after 2-3 hours speed limit signs will show up clearly on the screen, but the speed doesn't change, necessitating manually thumbing down the speed....or up the speed as needed. Then later it will work as intended without having stopped. BEST FSD (supervised) YET!!! Still, a work in progress. That's why they call is "supervised." It will only get better.

my FSD works perfectly fine, I don’t know what these people are bitching about. But I’m looking for all the updates.

Mine has been similar. Only complaint is that in stop and go highway traffic it brakes late instead of coasting to a stop when the car in front is at a standstill. Might be a follow distance thing though.

Same here, only complaints are the tight turns and slowing down earlier for stopped traffic. I see this more of a problem on the highway.

Really enjoying FSD on my CT and use it everytime I get in the truck. Here are my main items that need to be fixed.

1. Stop - Signs - I have multiple stop signs on my normal routes and the CT has to damn near lock up the brakes on one of them, blew by one stop sign by 10 ft and nearly locked up, and two others are hard stops. It does the same thing on every time drive these routes. The only thing I can think of is there is no white line for it to detect at these stop signs. I also had an issue where someone did a fast pull up and stop to my right on a four-way stop. I had stopped first, but my CT hesitated for an extra second or two and the other person took-off and my CT took off while the other car was a 1/4 of the way through the intersection, so I am assuming it just hesitate too long, but intended to go. I intervened so I did scare anyone or potentially hit the other car. Most stop-signs including four way, it was timely on its decision of who was first.

2. Left-hand turns - My CT often crosses over the line. One time caused a car to swerve and stop in the left-hand lane of the street I was turning onto because I was a good 2 feet into the left lane after the turn. I had another couple of incidences where I intervene because it was either going to hit the car or be within 2-4 inches of a car that was in the left lane in a two lane to two land traffic light left-hand turn. It does the same thing on an unmarked concrete street and often stays over longer. It did have a tendency to stay way to the middle in unmarked streets, but that has improved a bit and I am not sure why.

3. Auto-speed control - I am comfortable with FSD determing the speed most cases, but on the highway it often had me 15 mph over the speed limit of 60. I wanted to just adjust it down in that circumstance, but the manual control to slow or speed up does not work in this setting of FSD like it did in Auto-pilot. I also had similar issues with back roads.

4. Auto-park - I had a warning that ASS was diminished and it did not have great distance control. My car was clean and it was not raining. It back up several feet past the the stop line and I stopped it. Fortunately, I was trying in and empty area of the lot. The other three times I tried it it worked well with no warning, but favored the passenger side of the line. The biggest problem is it does not work with angled parking at all at Walmart. It does not even see spots.

5. Navigation - This is probably very isolated, but I have a route that you cross-over a busy high-speed street with a light. As soon as you cross the street within 40 feet you have to turn left onto another street. At the traffic light it had the turn signal on (should not be at that point until crossing the street) and then waited at the light for the cars crossing from the opposite waiting I think to turn left onto the busy street instead of crossing over and then turning left onto the street 40 feet past the intersection. I intervened, but I will try this particular route again and see if it does the same thing. I suspect FSD has seen very few situations where it turns 40 feet after crossing over a street.

I actually have been VERY impressed with its decision on passing on the highway, smoothness, most stop lights and stop signs (obviously there are some issues). If they resolved the 1-4 items it would be near perfect.

Is there a way to communicate these issues to Tesla when you can't do it when you intervene? I suppose I could try the stop signs and intervene and then report it.
