Are there any people who have the safety score beta and more or less regular checking it?
I do and notice some ”odd” or “erroneous “ scores.
I also use FSD now “a lot” even for relative short distances.
Observations:
On FSD the score is always 100. Even on trips where FSD definitively braked harder than I have done when driving myself and got dinged for.
I also got dinged for night time driving, but not when that night time drive is on FSD.
Btw, I find it odd that night time driving results in lower safety scores. People who work night shifts, or uber/lyft/taxi drivers cannot get a perfect score? Is that also the case on non-CT cars?
When I drive myself on the home-work commute there are two items I get regular dinged for: hard braking and aggressive cornering: always the same corner, either one or the other ding, I almost need to slow down to a stop when taking that corner, which FSD doesn’t either. it is an almost 180deg corner, nothing special or different then other corners.
On a day I drove two long distances of 120miles on FSD, two middle distances of 15miles on FSD, and one very short 1.5miles myself, I had one “hard braking” ding. The resulting score became 81! My lowest ever. See screenshot attached.
in California the safety score is for educational purposes only, so it doesn’t matter.
I am curious if the above is a CT thing or a “me” (my driving style) thing, or do all Teslas have this type of what I call oddities?
