I read this article just now and find myself on both sides of the fence. I am interested in the communities thoughts as well.

I love FSD and use it, but also some days I just don't want to.

So somedays I like/understand the new "streak", other days I feel it is intrusive and unsafe.

Lets see how everyone else feels - and how quickly the comments get...... energetic

Considering Supervised FSD is at least 10x safer than human driver, I'm all for this visible metric.

Yesterday FSD 14.3.3 did an impressive accident-avoidance maneuver for me. If I was driving, would have been a "slam on the brakes" on the interstate to avoid rear-ending a truck. I appreciate FSD is always paying attention and has more eyes than I do.

I ignore it completely as it's more of a reflection on FSD since I have to disengage for parking spot preferences mostly. And also parking in my garage as now the latest FSD won't go into my garage anymore when the previous version did fine.

I’m concerned it will harm many marriages. Lol.
Example, “Why aren’t you using FSD?”, “I am/what are you talking about?”, “yes but only for the last two miles”.

Parking disengagements typically do NOT impact the FSD "streak" accumulated miles. At least that's my experience.

Parking disengagements will continue for a while and in the meantime, I will continue to use FSD for 90%+ of my driving. The "streak" feature is on my ignore list.

The new FSD app is a fucking waste of resources. The steak display is dumb, I wish there was an option to turn it off. The only thing I was interested in was the percentage of FSD usage, which was already in the self driving tab.

I seem to remember a post where someone used white duct tape on the garage floor to make it park perfectly....need to try to find that post... and try it in my garage.

I don't mind about streak miles but, what I dislike most is the windshield wiper wipes almost every time I turn FSD on. FSD created worse visual than it was. I check and clean my windshield before I drive. I canceled FSD and reengage every times. I hope FSD teams realized this. This is the most annoying about FSD, for so far.

I have white lines in my garage and FSD doesn’t see it. Some times when I pull out it will show up and I have stopped and let it back in, but once you leave and come back home it doesn’t see it anymore. Maybe my lines need to be spread a little.

I haven't had FSD do anything unsafe in many revisions, but it sometimes is less courteous than I would be. I have found myself in situations where it behaves in a not-socially-acceptable way, and I haven't disengaged because I wanted to see it through, and later regretted it because the person probably thought I was a jerk or bad driver. But none of that has to do with my "streak." I couldn't care less about that.

I think the author makes a fair point that it could encourage not taking over in edge cases, which could be dangerous and most importantly doesn't help train the system of foul behavior.

I haven't used FSD in weeks, because it stinks.

They should gamify the anti-streak. I value my safe driving over whatever the hell FSD is doing lately.

is great, I’m 97%. I have no streak tho, I’ll park it where I want. It’s try’s to back into the driveway but I like to leave some room on the cement pad so the kids can play basketball. I’m not putting down parking lines for it.
