Cybertruck in containment delivery hold since Friday, urgent!!

Greetings! I’m new to the club! I live in the OC. My delivery date was 1/20/225 and was told my vehicle has been put on “containment hold”. Waiting….

Just closing the loop on this for my held Cybertruck. Tesla was able to match me to another VIN (same specs and cost) for immediate delivery. I picked it up today and I talked to Tesla a bit about what was going on. It seems VINs are being reviewed and everything on hold doesn’t necessarily mean there is an issue. Tesla is just being proactive. He said half their inventory has been cleared for delivery.

So I just got better information. Spoke to the delivery lead who went and spoke to service lead in QA.

1. this is an issue with January build (2024 is ok)
2. Issue is with a specific component in the HV battery pack (not the cells)
3. Tesla is still determining whether they want to replace the component or entire battery pack
4. Guidance is another 2 weeks to resolve
5. She is going to call me again Monday with an update which I will then post here

Everything available in CA. I think you are trying to access a vehicle not in your state.

this whole situation is shit show. i just talked to my delivery center and they said they don't have any information. when i talked to someone yesterday at another location, they told me that they made inspections already and started delivering some trucks again.

i have a 2024 VIN assigned to me, I wouldn't know know the build date. but i would imagine it's a dec build, the latest.

Everything available in CA. I think you are trying to access a vehicle not in your state.

oh yes, you're right i'm sure. i check several locations throughout florida and there were none.
edit: i just checked CA, TX, GA and nothing came up.

Just checked Orlando and there are numerous available.
Not sure what you’re doing differently.

you’re looking at the link i shared? that one is specifically the marked down base inventory model, not demo, brand new.

it’s the model i have a vin for that appears to be a part of the vins affected.

edit: tesla just changed my vin. no word from my tesla advisor regarding the change. its after 9pm EST. not sure if this is because i asked them to find me a new vin earlier today or because they removed this reduced priced model from their inventory.

Ok this is getting strange. The link you posted is for a Demo vehicle with 32 miles. But regardless I do see other New inventory in your zip and your config with same discount available for immediate delivery.

if it’s a January build, even if it shows available for immediate delivery, they won’t sell it. I found one near me, called, and confirmed the vehicle would be subject to the same hold even if it baked in the site

wtf… yeah they are definitely reconfiguring something because i’m getting different options in inventory now. so weird. i’m getting automated changes on my account. interested to hear from tesla soon.

wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case for me again. also to be clear, both vin i have been assigned are 2024 (R) & 56,000 range (56400 to 5600)
