Dave Ramsey is always advising "stop wasting money on fancy lattes" but most people are like "I'd rather be caffeinated than depressed with $6"

that dosnt make it a good financial decision, same with people who have to get a new phone every year or 2.

BTW those are the buddies you dont ever ask for financial advice or decision advice from ;)
I've made enough good financial decisions to earn a few bad ones 🤷‍♂️

May be because Starbucks doesn’t pay him.

I’m yet to see a financial advisor say anything more useful than what you can get in the Bogglehead forum.

Thankfully I followed neither of those and can buy a CT with cash as a result. Investing most of your money in TSLA is not what they would advice ;)

Coming back to CT, or any other premium vehicle, it is always a lifestyle choice whether to buy a boring used Toyota or a brand new shiny head turner. Just like your choice of clothes or vacations.

Ah but you didn’t say financial decision on your post. 😂

seriously tho I don’t think buying pretty much any vehicle is a sound financial decision. They’re all depreciating assets.

that being said, they they’re depreciating assets that be be stupidly fun to drive! Hahah

Are they leasing cybertrucks? If so, what's the terms and residual payoff? Or what percentage of the vehicle are you actually paying for?

A lease makes sense especially for a business. Plus who knows the actual worth of the vehicle in 3 years..Especially with all the pricing fluctuations that Tesla has done to other models. Basically renting the vehicle for 3 years and walking away without an unknown loss.

Given I don't have to pay for gas, it's a very viable option to have this financed. I use about $400/m in my Hybrid SUV (I use it for work as well). This gonna be a game changer.
