Future lease option?

Hi. Glad to read all the posts. Very educational. And a passionate group for sure. I cancelled my reservation after getting vin # for Beast. Ended up losing $1000. Was naive and assumed a lease might be available at some point. Any educated guesses if a lease will become available in 25 ? I actually put $259 down again. Was very sad as my original $100 was placed on 11/19. Thanks in advance.

Why do so many people do this? How can after waiting 5 years you still not know whether or not to buy the truck? It just wastes everybody's time and holds up deliveries to people that actually want to buy it.

No one knows if or when Tesla will provide a leasing program. I suspect that it won't be until after the reservations have all been processed though.

I honestly would have hesitation "buying " any EV currently w the rapidly changing environment. I blindly assumed since every other Tesla leases it would trickle down to the CT. And since I ordered it as most would with limited options I can't imagine it wouldn't be transferred to the next in line. Sorry if that offended anyon

It actually was a very emotional decision for me. Kept me up nights. My wife said she has never seen me like this. So hopefully when a lease comes out I'll finally join this family. I sat in a used one and just fell in love. And I've had a lot of vehicles. I'm still sad in many ways. Anyway thanks for the reply.

That's you. That's not the same as the millions who have purchased EVs over the years.

I leased my first EV in 2014. The next 4 I bought and haven't regretted it one bit.

Tesla isn't on its first-generation EV.
I would love to say that your Hummer EV isn't GM's first-generation vehicle, but it seems as if GM has yet to carry the learning forward. They seem to start each one basically from scratch. And they started the process with the EV1.

But all a lease is, is a hedge on 2-3 year resale price. And it is rare that the leasors get the numbers wrong.
