Tesla is turning its back on automobile enthusiasts ... Sure they are moving talent to more profitable ventures, but that also is starting them down the road of being a boring automobile maker.

Boring is evidently the smart move considering the rejection of the coolest vehicle ever produced. I can only assume cybercab is “ugly” too since I also think it’s beautiful. Tesla is smart to only offer these “ugly” vehicles as ride or transport services and not as personal vehicles.

Hmmmm.... CT to be a delivery truck? Unless they intend to be delivering to locations remote and off road, I don't see the big benefit.

I'd think a Robovan customized for delivery would be way more efficient and capable. Especially in a future where the driving will be autonomous and the only extra thing needed would be an Optimus to hand deliver the items to people's doorsteps.

I suppose, if they wanted to deliver large hardware or something the CT might be an OK delivery mechanism. But hardware can get very big/heavy very fast so a specialized Tesla Semi might be better for that type of delivery. Just put a flatbed on the back instead of pulling a trailer. And dangle an electric fork lift off the end like current construction materials delivery trucks do.
