So this is my fourth month with my cybertruck. While I can say I enjoy the technology, the speed and everything else, I really have a big problem with the build quality. I know people have come to accept this with Teslas but boy do those squeaks and cricks annoy the hell out of me.

The difference between the CT and my Q50 and my wife's Audi Q8 is night and day.
Better build quality, Better sound deadening and better interior materials. Tesla uses very cheap plastics prone to rattling. Everything rattle in the CT interior.

I have to play music every time I drive to avoid hearing the squeaks which drive me insane.

Yeah and this is better than previous Tesla. I have top of line plaid and boy, that thing has so many creaks.

I only have 1 creak in my cyber and it’s on front passenger door. My other posts talk about it, which is a common issue. the door components are being replaced and most of us are plagued with it. Something with the adhesives not properly sealed at manufacture.
If your door vibrates when slamming shut, they’ll replace it.

Once I get my new doors next week, creaks will be gone I am sure.

Wait you brought it in just for the squeaks?
Mine is so bad, when I adjust the steering wheel, the plastic under it vibrates and makes this loud noise. I had to adjust it up to press against the dash to get it to stop.

Sometimes I take quiet rides to clear my head and just listen to the road noise.
I can't do it in this vehicle. Initially, I thought I was being overly critical of the the CT, but no. The Q50 which is my daily driver makes it very clear. I'm not even trying to compare it to the Audi.

Mine is almost silent, with occasional squeak from driver side door top panel. But on highway, deadly silent. More silent than my Audi too. BTW if you have noise and squeaks coming, take it SC and they will pad it up. They are pretty good and fast on it.

I’ve had my beast about as long as you’ve had yours. It’s become my daily driver, it’s been driven hard, and it’s been through a few nights of drag racing at my local track. It’s still silent. While I might be relatively new to CT, I’m not new to Tesla. Their build quality isn’t the most consistent, but they will make it right. Identify where all the sounds are coming from, make a list, and schedule service. It isn’t a CT problem at its core, it can be fixed.

This would drive me crazy. Mine is completely rattle and squeak-free. I was actually incredibly surprised with the build quality considering what I’ve heard about Tesla.

I need know I could make services center appointment for squeaks. I thought they would think I was being a brat. I like the vehicle, I trying to be a good customer.

Def go to the SC. Creating more business for the SC isn’t a bad thing for that SC :)

Mine is silent. No squeaks or rattles at all. And I have thrashed the hell out of it.

Same here, completely silent, even more silent since I installed door edge trim on all four doors.

It baffles me that people think there are any automobiles out there void of rattles and squeaks. People complain about Telsa because otherwise no other noises can be heard. No engine. No transmission, etc.

What you are hearing is normal movement of cabin or electro-mechanical parts. Subtract the engine noise of a gas car and you will hear the same thing.

These are multi-ton machines that can travel >100 mph on varying road surfaces. You will hear a little bit of noise from time to time ?

I've had rattles since day 1 of delivery and some new ones developed after. Since April 2024, my CT has been in service 12 times; 10 of which had the service center trying to fix the rattle from day 1 and others. They finally let me know last month that it's a structural issue that isn't easily fixed. FYI you have 9 months from delivery to address any noise concerns with the warranty before the service center starts charging you.

The Tesla Service Center in Plano, TX has been more than helpful in trying to fix this issue. We're currently progressing with another route to remedy the situation. I may be able to provide more details later once everything is finalized.

My recommendation is for you is to document your concerns. Express them clearly with your service advisor with a firm stance but don't be a dick; they're trying their best to help. Make another service appointment or rediscuss the same concern if the previous service appointment did not fix the issue or if the rattle comes back after some time.

I'm sure the employees at my service center are tired of seeing me since I'm now on a first name basis with most of the service advisors, some technicians in the back, and their service manager.
