There is clear water or some sort of clear liquid in the cleaning fluid reservoir on my CT. Whenever I use the wiper and hold the button to squirt some of the juice, it leaves a white residue on the windshield after a few wipes. Does that mean the liquid is alcohol based? I'd like to replace the washer liquid with something that doesn't leave the white residue or stain, but all the fluid I've seen that is sold has some sort of coloring in it. Maybe I should just use distilled water? Has anyone else seen this? Thanks.

I’ve not ever noticed that. Maybe there is contamination of some sort? I’d mention to Tesla service on your next visit…

We did a slo motion video of the cyber wiper on my truck… you can find it on i1Tesla channel on YouTube. No residue.

Yes, my brand new CyberBeast wiper leaves lots very wide band white streaks all over the windshield. Yes, it is some clear liquid.

In my thought process, I thought these could be the issues -
1. Wrong windshield fluid.
2. Not enough windshield fluid coming out.
3. The wiper itself is faulty - it doesn't make full contact with the windshield.

Not sure which one it is, and I have a service appointment at the end of the month to see if they can solve it.

I also noticed that when I roll down the windows and bring them back up, they become very dirty (even on the same day when I picked up the truck). I wonder how to clean the inside of the doors. Any ideas?

Best,
M

My wiper fluid was blue. The windshield was clean, but the residual water left on the windshield left a bit of a mess. It could be just a function of trying to clean an oversized windshield.

I think I'm going to run the wiper and the juice dispenser for a long while and try to clear out the reservoir and then put some clean distilled water in it to see if that makes a difference....

I drained my OEM windshield wiper fluid on day 1 and put in a better-quality fluid.
Cool, I haven't really looked. Is there an actual drain or do you just have to run the wiper sprayer for awhile to drain it out? There's a LOT of sprayers on that BAW!!!

Same here. Luckily it didn't take long to empty it out. Left a huge mess on the side pillar though. I'm sure it is in the manual somewhere but I'm curious how big the reservoir is.

I would love to see something in the Service section that tells me what the wiper washer fluid level is.

I don't know if there is a wiper washer fluid drain plug.

Seems to be about a gallon. My truck was delivered almost empty and I bought a gallon of wiper fluid and almost emptied it in the reservoir.

Thanks for the reminder to refill mine.

I siphoned out the factory fluid and transitioned this Xtreme blue and it works much better. No more white residue and cleans better too.
