I know it's normal to have some quiet buzzing outta the dash after driving. I have a model y and a model 3 and that usually goes off 15 to 30 min.

The cyber will have same low decibel noise for hours. I know this bc I sometimes have to try and take a nap when I'm waiting for my daughters to get out of practice.

Like today drove 20min and after2hrs and was still buzzing even tho I selected power off and even had sentry off.

Does anyone who sits in car or tries to sleep hear this?
Thx

No I haven't heard that. I've Sat idle in my CT long enough for it to shut down. Seems like something is running like sentry mode or something. It's weird.

Hey, in your experience, about how long does(minutes)it take to shut down and remain completely silent.
All my teslas buzz a bit like I mentioned but the cyber just keeps on much longer.

In my case that buzz is not louder than in model Y, but it's more annoying as it constantly changes pitch. Model Y has a constant pitch. Might be just variability in parts. I think it only stops when vehicle goes to sleep. And I am not sure it ever does when someone is in the cabin.

Yes, agreed, it's not louder than the rest of the fleet but seems everlasting.

I made an appointment w service which I don't want to go to and may cancel.

I doubt many experience this phenomena bc who sits in there at length without ac/heat/radio on at any given moment. 1% of us ?

Ok so here's what I did to figure out if it ever went to sleep and all the buzzing in the central dash region stopped.

Drove it for a few miles and parked.
Opened drivers window all the way.
Disabled auto window close on lock.
And then waited 30 and 60 min(maybe longer).
Carefully leaned into the window and the sounds were gone. Thankfully.

I think someone mentioned that it knows if there is someone in the car so it stays 'awake'. That's the issue I was trying to isolate and they are probably correct.

I didn't read the reddit link yet. But I will.

I just got out and walked away. Didn't change any settings but my settings may be configured differently than yours.

Lmk, what specific setting you want me to check and I can see. Im not in there but I think I had my outlets disabled(not the USB ports tho).
Where is the keep accessory power on tab?

I literally did the exact same thing this morning haha. It did not help in my case. I'm not trying to keep any accessory on whatsoever: these are all the things I've turned off yet it whirs away - Sentry, AC Outlets, DC accessory outlets, Power Share, Auto Dashcam, and Cabin Overheat

Replied to the wrong post - but I did the - keep window open and let it sit for 15m. Ducked my head in and it's still whirring.

Imma check my settings but yes I had sentry off as well.
I need to check the others I mentioned

Give it more time. 30min at least.

OK, I've figured out the mystery at home - after everything I could find, and turned it off, finally thought to unplug it. That worked. Letting it sleep, with the window down, it was finally silent. Also confirmed that whirring returns the instant I turn on outlets. But two things: 1 - that means something is constantly running since I always have it plugged in at home, and 2 - the reason for the Reddit post - means it all still makes for a non-ideal camping vehicle; the whole point is to use the outlets (main use is a fridge, but also Starlink) and cabin conditioning.

I'm ok with the buzzing etc when charging. Lots of things probably activated at that time.
Turning on outlets prob makes it think it's gonna charge something so it's prepping for that?
