So I finally get fsd I have been dreaming of just in time for a long trip to Memphis. I wake up at 330 am excited to be driven by my amazing car I go to put on tunes so I can jam out and take it easy.... But the new app that replaced the old app isn't working. I try to figure it out, and before I make 50 miles I have earned two demerits!! Are you kidding me? Upload a non working solution and then penalize me for trying to figure it out. I called service waited for 15 ml minutes to be told the free play system they had before was gone and the new system that replaced it wasn't working unless you go in and pay (maybe) 15 dollars a month!? I am brand new to Tesla and had no idea that the old free music system wasn't a permanent fixture. Being punished for trying to fix it seemed kinda draconian.

On a positive note ... The car performed amazingly well. I picked up people from the Memphis airport and it performed flawlessly. If this is what it is doing on week one I can't wait to see the progress that another year will bring. Pictures of my new wrap from ink-monkey in Springfield MO for your perusal.

I’ve driven for 3 years on FSD and never received a strike. I don’t know how you get 2 as soon as you jump in and go… that’s… shocking.

If you weren't paying attention to the road while using supervised FSD, then you weren't paying attention. It doesn't matter what you were doing, even trying to fix something. Also, much about these safety attention systems, our government mandated, and as such, were tightened back, maybe six months ago. I'm terrible with dates but I remember all of a sudden, my model y was yelling at me much more and giving me strikes, and when I looked up, what could be causing it, I found some information on this.

Futzing with the entertainment system while driving is called distracted driving and is illegal in many states.
The vehicle was doing EXACTLY as it is supposed to do. If you want to Futz with the entertainment system, be safe, pull over for a few minutes.

If you actually got strikes, that meant that you ignored the warnings many times. The flashing blue bars on the screen that you were futzing on is the first indicator that you need to pay attentetion. As well as the box that appears and tells you to pay attention to the road.

Why does Tesla do this? Because of the idiots who try to override and ignore the rules. i.e. those who are playing games or watching movies while travelling down an Interstate. And they have a fatal accident, and their families tie Tesla up in court.

If you had simply read the release notes on your phone when you installed the update, you would have found that the old free audio has been replaced.

Say what you want about Tesla, and indeed, the guilty usually complain the loudest.
