This.

New vehicles cannot be sold with unremediated recalls.
This is my guess, as well.

To the OP, the cantrails are NOT readily available to all Service Centers. So, they probably want to give you a newly built one direct from the factory that does not require the cantrail recall to be applied.

Lastly, I wouldn't read into how the trucks look on the lot. At the end of the day, it has no bearing on the vehicle you'll own...and I promise you you're gonna absoultely love it. So, congrats on the purchase!

I love the CT, and hope to get my delivery today or tomorrow. My wrap/tint appointment is Monday. Elctrician is adding a 60am circuit and gen3 home Charger today. I am all in.

I don’t think the trucks were defective. I just thought they were dirty. Most car dealers do better jobs and maintaining the appearance of the cars on their lot. I think the manager needs to wash his inventory.

I wasn’t a Tesla fan. I didn’t get it. I have pulled a full 180 and embraced the stock and their cars

I actually did take pic of the one with the flat and sent to my son. I don’t need to argue online. I am rooting for Tesla.

Tesla has Service Centers not Dealerships.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Taking delivery of your very own Cybertruck is a very exciting day. Look it over carefully and address any issues you have before signing off.

Tesla doesn't have traditional dealerships like other brands where the inventory gets washed everyday so buyers wandering the lot aren't looking at dirty cars. No doubt all those trucks have a story. You should ask about why are all those trucks sitting here? They would probably tell you.
It is probably a waste of labor to clean the trucks so they look nice for people who are walking around and who aren't buyers. Most buyers buy online. In my area the Tesla "dealerships" are inside of shopping malls and the vehicles displayed there are indoors. The vehicle pick up locations also double as service centers so you see everything. As a company Tesla attempts to be an unusually efficient company. Like the fact when you bring your vehicle in for service. You don't give them a key. They use their app system to access your vehicle. Same when it's time to pick up your vehicle. You can pick it up after 5pm because you have the key. After living with your Tesla for a few years it becomes clear why this company is far ahead of other car makers. You might even start to feel a little sad for other car owners who don't drive a Tesla.

I believe it about the trucks in the lot. I have seen several cases in the bay area where several cybertrucks are sitting and dirty. As I mentioned before, I suspect this is about cars that haven't gotten the recall fix. Mine hasn't and I am sure that would be prioritized over vehicles that haven't been sold. Why they even have cybertrucks on their lot that haven't been sold is another issue but I am not prepared to guess why. Why the trucks aren't being washed regularly is more easily explained (whether correct or not). Tesla doesn't have dealerships like other OEMs. They have showrooms with demo cars and they have service centers that do repairs. Sometimes they are the same. They will wash a car when done with a repair, and they will wash a car being picked up by a new owner, but I haven't seen them wash every car every day and it would seem like overkill these days. The flat tire should be fixed for sure.

Troll. Easy to recognize. Attacks the brand with information that is clearly made up. EVERY vehicle had something wrong with it? Not likely Ha.

I was supposed pick up my new CT tomorrow. It was postponed because it was “delayed in transit”

I was right by the dealer and stopped by just to see if might be there. There were 19 cyber trucks. They were filthy, rust on brakes and one brand new one was not only dirty but a flat tire. They looked like they have been sitting for months. Some trucks with the same specs I ordered. These were new, plastic still on seats. No plates. They looked abandoned.

I can’t believe the manager of that location leaves the inventory in that condition. No other brand would do that. Gives me pause about the state of the brand. It was like a grave yard. This is a showroom and lot in busy retail corridor.

What am I getting into…..

Was this at Rockville or Owings Mills?
