DIY tent platform

Old metal bed frames can be found for a few dollars in various places selling donated goods. Add L track D-rings from Amazon (link below) and a sheet of plywood (will need to cut it a bit). The extension part is welded, but in the absence of a welder it can probably be built with rivets and/or screws.

Total cost of materials about $75.

So whether you live or hate the cybertent, I have to admit the one thing they definitely got right is the platform. Kudos for taking that idea and making something more grass roots.

I don't have anything bad to say about the Cybertent other than the price. Definitely would be my preference if I had referral credits to spend

Meanwhile I ordered one of these, which seems smaller and has a better entrance configuration

Full size standard. Took a few trial and errors but this seems to work. Will need longer straps.
