Our model Y has had a ceramic coating since day one. That one coating has held up wonderfully for three years and still beads water. wouldn't that work on the CT? I think I can live with finger prints around the door. I like the stainless look.
More generally, Now that a year has passed since CTs have been out, how has the unprotected stainless held up? We live on the Gulf Coast with salt water corrosion in the air makes nails, bolts and nuts and any carbon steel even galvanized fasteners rust out in a year or two. Everything must be stainless. Additionally, is Sea Gull droppings a problem that has to be wiped off immediately?
