does the CT on FSD have the same speed control problem as my HW3 model Y?
what happens if you keep your foot on the gas pedal to maintain speed and ignore the blue at the top of the screen? do you actually get kicked off of FSD.

I'm pretty sure that's a strike, yes.

However, I've been able to "encourage" FSD with brief throttle engagement, and it generally keeps the new speed, or slowly reduces to the expected range.

Fsd definitely gets angry if you hold the accelerator. Ive taken to disengaging when i engage it and it slows down and doesnt maintain speed

The longest I've held the accelerator down to insure FSD would not slow down more than I wanted was around 15-20 seconds. No, it didn't kick me out or off of FSD, it just warns you that the car will not brake if your foot is on the accelerator.

Usually, I just make sure my maximum speed is set high enough and then "encourage" it to go faster with a brief acceleration. It will generally hold the higher speed unless it feels it's faster than it's safety tolerance for those conditions allow.

I would guess the worst it might do, after an extended time, is assume the driver had passed out or died and slow down and pull over when safe to do so.

That said, I've never tested that theory out.

I have applied pressure to the accelerator peddle to increase speed in areas where FSD don’t see a speed limit sign. I have done this for many miles, at least 10+mins on one occasion, without a FSD strike.

I use the right scroll wheel to raise (or sometimes lower) the maximum speed to what I want and then tap the accelerator to encourage it if necessary. It's similar on both IA3 and IA4.
