Door edge protector - to prevent dings on other cars?

I am thinking about putting some type of clear protector over my door edge to help to protect it from damaging other cars... I'm thinking of my wifes car next to mine in the garage.

Has anyone put edge protectors?
If so, what is your experience?
Do they help with bumps on other cars?
Do they soften the razor edge?

Anything subtle won't work. Anything that works would be ugly. Kids hit the M3 with CT door once, cried, hasn't happened since. Just a car, good learning experience, now they look first and open carefully... the primary solution to this problem.

I am always concern if my kids ding other cars that park too close to CT. What if that person already hates EV and on top a small ding from CT. Receipt for disaster!

I felt the same way and I got this on Amazon. I am happy with it and I don’t think it distracts from the trucks natural lines.

I have a white vinyl wrap and use clear to white door edge guards. They look good and they protect my other car in the garage. The real reason I got them was to protect the vinyl on the door edges which gets cut if I hit something.
