Doug was laughing at the CT several months ago on a call where the other panelists - and comments - were smugly derisive (I posted a link to that video on this thread), but the winds have changed, and therefore the opportunists must change their positions/opinions to stay "relevant.” I’ve watched a dozen of his videos over the years and I don’t mind valid criticism, but I’ll walk away from clickbait groupthink. If I want something close to the (now mostly defunct) journalistic integrity, I’ll seek out Jason Cammisa. He went in not even wanting to like the CT, and came out having "molto rispetto” for it, for Tesla’s engineers, and for Tesla for having the courage to execute on it. This wasn’t the same as Doug’s DeMuro’s weathervane approach. It was a demonstration of journalistic integrity, or as close to it as we can get these days. You can watch several of his videos on YouTube, some with very high production values (see Hagerty) and others with just Jason sitting at a table and talking on other channels like The Smoking Tire. I recommend checking some of those out. He was a “reluctant convert," not a Fanboi out of the gate. More to the point he’s not an opportunistic weathervane—my two cents! Curmudgeon interview
