Is anyone else experiencing the creaking noise from the leather of the Driver's seat rubbing against the center console with every move? I thought I had saw one other poster mention it here and said he was putting in a service ticket. But I'm unable to find it in the search function.

Its quite annoying. But not sure anything can be done by SC or whether I'll just be told its "within spec"

If it is an audible noise that detracts from your experience and even more importantly distracts you when driving they should fix it. Some people have reported noises from the glove box, dash sqeeking, etc and it has been fixed. You paid $120k for the truck it shouldn't sound like an old bike.

Most manufacturers use some type of cloth or put felt at the seat-center console contact points. If they don't add anything in there I would just put some on the center console myself.

You might have seen it mentioned in this video. my 20116 model S does the same. Super annoying if you don’t keep it lubed.

BeleeEv is right there is a PTFE special lube they used on the 2016/17 MS seats. It was an annoying squeak, but one application of the lube and I was good to go for 2 more years the stuff is like magic. I wish I had a tube of it!

I had squeak seals on a different car and a buddy of mine, who is a dealer mechanic recommended silicone grease. I had the same squeak on my CT and used a thin layer of silicone grease and it was gone for now. I might need to reapply at a later date.

Mine seems to have this issue. Anytime I turn left or right, I hear a creaking sound which sounds like it is coming from the passenger rear bottom of the center console. Ugh, driving to the service center is such a hassle. If anyone else has figured out a temp fix, would love to hear about it.

Buy a roll of stick on Velcro and use the soft side. That's what I've seen on many vehicles.

Yeah I have something similar but not sure it is the seat and console as it seams like it is coming from the rear but haven’t had someone to sit back there and figure it out.

I'm also having this issue. it actually sounds like metal creaking but hope it's just plastic!

I was having the same issue but I have damped/eliminated the sound quite a bit with a simple patch.

The wife and I were able to figure out where it was coming from. It is coming from the middle console down below the rear screen. Specifically, where the plastic meets the carpet and metal frame underneath. I originally thought it was the driver's seat rubbing.

I pushed both sides of this panel and could feel the panel seat more. The sound seems to be coming from the very bottom. Then I pushed on the bottom of the panel and held it while sitting on the floor as she took a couple turns and the sound went away.

As a temporary fix, I tore some foam out of an old pelican case and pushed it under the panel. This has helped a lot and has almost made the sound totally go away. I added the complaint to my upcoming Tesla appointment. Hopefully, this works for others in the meantime. Let me know.

Picture 2 is with foam added

Picture 3 is with the all weather mat back covering the foam.

ME! I tried using silicone spray on every crevice I could but when I go left and right it squeaks so bad. I put in a service request so we will see. It seems easy to pop off the plastic piece so I might try that as well
