I ordered the tri-motor FSD flavor of the CT within minutes of the order page going up. According to the Tesla Reservation Tracker, my RN number with that trim puts at 2,300 in line to take ownership of a CT when they start shipping.

Truth be told I don't really need a CT or any truck. But I thought it would be fun to tool around for 3-6 months. My question is if I were to sell it at that point what do you think would be a fair price?

Nobody can tell you for sure. According to the circumstances we are put now ( I mean Covid, inflation, Call it whatever you want) the price could go up for about 10-15%. But we can also face the opposite circumstances when cars are getting cheaper every month. To be safe I would count on losing around 20%. If it goes up - you win, if down - you already knew and ready to take this lost

I bought my Model Y for $53,000 and similar ones are selling used now for $65,000.

Right now the EV market is very hot. No idea what the truck would be worth after a few months. I would guess you would make at least a small profit though.

Either invest in a Cybertruck to flip it or drive it. There is no “both”. Rack miles up on a CT to sell, sounds like a good way to throw shade on a sale.

Beware. Early Gen 1 CT’s could be loaded with Easter Eggs that non-RN CT’s will never be equipped, which will make a Gen1 CT more valuable to RN owners. Tesla are gamers. Elon understands game play. Don’t be surprised those Easter Eggs don’t transfer upon sale, ditto FSD.

Asking resale price when the MSRP isn't even confirmed. And delivery even that low reservation is at minimum a year away. Hahaha. I swear half of these posts are trolling.
