Having hit my truck with a large rubber mallet, I can tell you that it leaves stress marks in the metal. I’ll take a picture and show you later.
@ABILISK @CyberGus closing the door on this:

So, here’s what I have going on. I was using the mallet to try and align my at Mars roofrack because it was sticking out a little bit at the seam shown in the images below. I missed and hit the cantrail more than once leaving the marks that you see in the image. Maybe they’re just surface level scratches but that’s not what they look like to me and by comparison the aluminum railing from Mars had/has no marring, scratches or anything else. You’d never know it was struck, which is what you would expect. Right?

Thinking about hosting a local event where locals throw an egg (for $ donation) at my cybertruck, one at a time.

I would limit the distance they could get to it, maybe 20ft. Besides a side mirror being damaged what other bad things could occur outside of crazies trying to set it on fire?

I think washing it off should be ok within a few hours of the first egg yah?

Interesting idea, but hate to say it but it is a bad one.
The little places that eggs could get into and reek later, odds of someone bringing a frozen egg or white rock. Etc etc

I would chaulk this up to a cool idea but one you should not go through with, many ways it could go poorly.

If someone wants to vandalize your truck, they don't need to wait for you to volunteer, or pretend to use an egg.

Vandalism is a dick move for sure, but ultra-douchy when done at a charity event.

Also, probably not the best plan to "secretly" damage someone's property when there will be no less than a dozen cameras rolling.

Really not bad, just looks like the light’s hitting it in a certain way unless you really look hard. But yeah, wouldn’t do it intentionally.
