I decided to build my own Not a Flamethrower because the secondhand market prices are insane. I mounted it in the frunk using a Jeep tailgate Molly panel. Don’t worry, the display propane cylinder is empty with the valve removed.

Was it pretty easy to mount on the panel?

It was fairly easy to mount. It only took me about 20 minutes. What I did was hold the molle panel up to the center plastic panel, then center and level it. Next while center and leveled I marked my drill holes. The panel just unsnaps off. So make sure to remove it before drilling the holes. The only tricky thing is making sure your mounting bolts are the right length. Mine weren’t but I took a grinder and cut them off.

Haha, I don’t know about that. It was pretty easy to make and I’ve only got about $200-$250 in it. There’s a seller on eBay called Tyler’s prop shop that sells almost exact replicas. I opted to make my own instead of buying his because he uses the type A air soft gun and Elon used the type B. The under barrel is is a little diffferent on the type A.

Here’s the diy video I used to build mine. The only difference is instead of using epoxy to set the barrel and cut/bend the trigger, I 3D printed parts to make it more OEM.

Thanks for all the info, I'm loving it! Went together super easy, I just had to get some new bolts. I took my Not-a-Flamethrower out to my fire pit to drain the propane tank, I don't want to drive around with a bomb in my frunk ??

The frunk light above hits it juuust right at night, got lucky there.
