Excellent points.

Mercedes Benz was so impressed that they are offering SBW as an option (PTBD) on their upcoming $100k 2027 EQS sedan. It also includes an 800V electrical architecture, 4.5 (standard) to 10 degrees of RWS (software unlock, $1300 option) and a steering yoke.

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/steer-by-wire-drive-2027-mercedes-benz-eqs-prototype
The first sentence at the end of the article makes it sound like the Steer-By-Wire system won't be available until 2028 at the earliest:

The facelifted EQS with optional steer-by-wire goes on sale this September as a 2027 model, but the steer-by-wire function will be released some time after that. Pricing for the by-wire yoke system will not be finalized until closer to its launch, but we would expect it to at least double the current $1,300 cost for the 10-degree rear-axle steering option.

I also think the option will be closer to $5,000 than the suggested "double the current $1300 cost for the 10-degree rear-axle steering option". Time will tell.

I say this because legacy car companies cannot help but to try to monetize everything. Tesla just asks themselves whether the feature is something customers would be willing to pay the cost of, if yes, they throw it on all of them.

My point is that Tesla needs to do better with the model Y.
No, the Model Y is the best-selling car in the world for three years in a row, they don't NEED to do anything.

They do constantly improve it, but a smaller turning circle is probably not on the to-do list because that would come with other compromises (like skinnier tires, compromised suspension geometry, smaller frunk, etc.).

It's still not clear why you think the turning circle of the Sienna and Model Y belong in a thread about two Cybertruck features that neither have (SBW and RWS), especially considering both vehicles have appropriate turning circles for their class. The Sienna's wheelbase is less than 7 inches longer than the Model Y. It has longer overhandgs front and rear which is another reason it doesn't handle as well as a Model Y.

You are doing a lot of things right when you have the best-selling car in the world. Apparently, Model Y owners would rather have the qualities of the Model Y than the Sienna, considering it sold over three times as many units in the U.S. last year and over ten times as many globally.

Maybe you should look at how Toyota could improve the Sienna so it would sell better, apparently the 1 foot better turning circle wasn't enough to create as much demand as the Model Y enjoyed. I know, maybe Toyota could delete the gas engine!
