F-150 Recall

Swung into the corner store/craft beer tasting room last night on my way home, and the first thing I got from the folks outside was "didn't they just recall all of those?"

Gotta love it when the wiper motor is finicky, but no one talks about any other MAJOR recalls like Toyota/Ford. My buddy got the 2024 Tundra the day after I picked up my CT and text me within 3 days with the "oh shit...full engine failure recall."

I made sure to mention the Tundra engine failure to my new friends at the corner store. Said I would be just fine if I had to take it in for a wiper motor swap. After a few minutes of chit chat and show-and-tell, everyone seemed to forget the latest recall press and were instead completely blown away by the CT and everything it doesn't have on the interior (buttons, knobs, etc) and everything it does/has everywhere else.

Great way to handle that situation. There's been a lot of hyperbole on this thread but in my opinion and experience, there is indeed a media bias against Tesla in general and the CT in particular to the point where they boost their reporting of any mishaps or recalls disproportionately. Are the other mishaps and recalls completely swept under the rug? Not quite. But they're definitely not front-page news either. Example; there's a viral video many of us have seen of a CT with standard tires where an inexperienced driver gets stuck in the snow and hauled out by an F-150 Superduty. Yawn. It's a nothing burger. (But wait! It's a CT so we must exploit the event for clicks!) I searched for "stuck F-150" on YouTube the same day and guess what I found? Exactly. Scores of similar videos of stuck F-150 trucks (and other ICE makes/models)
