My Cyberbeast is my 4th built to order Tesla. However, to my knowledge/recollection, this is the first time any of them have been delivered to me on factory firmware to my knowledge. (I suppose it’s possible that they were, but I think in the case of all my other vehicles we got a firmware update within seemingly the first week or sooner). So, for me, this was interesting, new and timely information.

Yeah it’ll be a month for me in nine days.

Obviously, the CT is a little bit different for all of my prior purchases but, we were super early adopters of the Model Y, I think our car was something like number 25K (single pain windows, no amber turn signals) and on that one I’m sure we had a firmware update the day after taking delivery. Same with my 2021 M3P I had one of the first one of those on the roads here in Nevada. In fact, even my 2023 refreshed Plaid (no ultrasonic sensors) was a early example. Sorry this section has gotten away from me but I’m just realizing right now as I’m writing it down I’m probably the furthest back in the line with my cybertruck that I have been with any other Tesla that I’ve purchased. Huh.

Anyway, getting back on track, all of those other cars I’m certain had a regular branch update within days or hours of taking delivery. I’m sure that the big delay with us getting one for the cyber truck is the hopeful eminent rollout of FSD. My plaid has been on 12.5.3, couple of weeks and I can tell you that it is awesome!

Before that I put 600 or so miles on 12.5.1 around my birthday (07/21) driving from Vegas to Dana Point round-trip and the car drove 90 to 95% of the way with me sitting there with my arms folded it was transformative.

Well. I finally got an update. 2024.26.7 is now installed. No more factory build!

Son of a gun! I’ve got it too! And never mind about my question this adds some of the other audio services and a couple of other minor things. My plaid is on 2024.26.10 and because that’s a HW4 vehicle I’ve already got 12.5.1.3 which is incredible!!! Looks like at least another month for that on the CB.
