Camera issues vs firmware…..

For the last two months or so I’ve gotten a constant park assist is degraded warning. No matter how clean the cameras are or where I’m at it happens. I also get a front camera is blocked or blinded every time I pull into my garage. SC said it was a firmware issue when I reported it and to wait for an update. However there have been numerous updates since then and both loaner trucks I’ve had did not have the same two issues. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or if maybe my front camera is just bad?

This has to do with not having an active FSD subscription.
I don’t have FSD. AND I suspect you don’t either.

we are now forced to buy FSD in order to have park assist.
I have a buyback request due to this. It was just approved.

Hmm very interesting and you are correct I did not buy nor am I currently subscribed to FSD….

Do they factor in the cost of a wrap if you have one done?

Not certain. Most likely youll have to submit the invoice. If they say no. You have to first get the buyback approved. Which they will. Then counter with the invoice and ask for reimbursement. If get say no then get a lemon law attorney to file suit and get back every dine you’ve spent plus damages due loss of use etc.

Did you ask about them giving you lifetime FSD in lieu of the buyback?

As a matter of fact, I did and I even told him I would settle for two years of FSD. Denied on both counts.

I don’t believe they want to set a precedent. They are doing everything they can to herd people into doing FSD subscriptions.

FYI, when I bought my cyber truck on September 29, 2025, I received $7500 tax rebate plus $1000 referral credit plus $500 college student credit. They also upgraded my wheels from core to cyber at no charge and they also gave me a free portable charger as well. Given all this and the current pricing of the standard AWD version I’m having a hard time making a decision about what to do.

oh, and I have a full year of free supercharging that ends on December 30, 2026.
