Financing taking longer than usual for anyone else?

I was going to pull the trigger on a FS Cybertruck in the secondary market for a good deal (it was $112k with 4k miles but already wrapped and tinted) but then got my invite on Monday night to configure m. I immediately placed an order and paid the $1k deposit. I have an approved loan from my credit union but decided that I wanted to see if the rates and terms were any better through Tesla Finance. To my surprise, it has been nearly 48 hours, and the credit application is still pending. I don't have any issues with my credit or income, and this is the first time I've ever had this sort of delay. This will be my 4th new Tesla since our 2018 Model 3.

If I remember right with my M3P, Tesla will run all the banks / credit score company’s, at their disposal and update you with the best offer.

ordered the beast but Oct-Dec estimate, havnt applied for financing yet, wonder if it delays me getting vin. ?‍

My financing application through the Tesla app was slow as well. I only applied for financing after getting the VIN, and my application was still pending when I received notice to schedule delivery a week later. I got a rejection in the mail a few days after delivery (paid cash).

I don't believe not applying for financing is preventing VIN assignment, but you can just mark you are going to pay cash and then change it later. it's no big deal to do that.

I got a call from the St. Pete Service/Delivery Center and they scheduled my delivery for tomorrow at 5pm. They said that scheduling the delivery will put a priority on them finishing my loan approvals. I may fall back to my Credit Union loan and call it a day

Yes, the Tesla finance department is swamped with the flood of takers of the Model Y low interest rate offer. I had to get the DC to bug them a day or two prior to the scheduled delivery.
